Tens of millions of animals are slaughtered and butchered in China each year. Animal fur is in high demand, and the Chinese deliver. What does not get exported outside of China usually ends up on a dinner plate. The sad fact is that the animals suffer horrendous torture. They are captured on the streets, and packed by the dozens into small cages, without ability to move. They are then tossed like inanimate objects from the trucks, onto the ground, hitting each other and the steel cages. These cages are later stacked, and the real nightmare begins. The animal is brutally pulled out of the cage, and tied to prevent resistance. It is lightly stunned by a blow on the head, but still alive. If the animal is not heavy, the worker holds it by its hind legs, waves it in the air and then bashes its head against the ground. Once the animal is subdued, a new and incomprehensible stage in this ongoing nightmare begins. The worker cuts a tiny incision in the animal's rear, and then methodically peels away the skin. This skinning process takes about a minute, during which the worker actively keeps the animal alive, as it is believed that it is easier to skin the animal while it is still warm and blood flows through its veins. The nightmare does not end here. The final stage in this unbelievable horror is when the animal is tossed aside, and slowly, amidst a heap of its dying friends, it perishes as it is no longer able to withstand the pain. In other cases, when the animal's fur is not needed (mostly with cats), the animals are put in a sack, and are then cooked alive in a barrel of boiling water.
This process is extremely hard to digest, but we believe it is not propelled by cruelty, but rather by ignorance and lack of awareness to animal needs. The workers do not think to kill the animal before they begin, and are not aware of the animal's suffering. Our commitment is to provide enlightenment. It is our moral obligation to these animals. Sorry, I just took the quote "Why waste money when you can make money" as why waste money on finding good homes for animals who deserve a chance at life, when you can make it by torturing, skinning, and killing those animals. I'm by far not to be considered an animal's rights activist, but enough of a human being to know what the difference is between right and wrong. And I don't care whether or not an animal is stray or not. Stray animals should be given homes just like the cat that I have. She was left stray as a kitten, after being abused by her previous owners. She's a really good cat. I would hope that in a future life if I end up as a cat, someone will adopt and take care of me.

Actually, some of them are house dogs. Yes, as in somebody's pet that somehow got lost from their owners, ran away, and get rounded up and sold as livestock like that.

There been plenty of stories like this. I lived in China from 2005 to 2009, and seen plenty. There was a famous incident where a wealthy owner lost his expensive ~$40k USD pure bred dog, and found what's left of it in a market. He even got into an argument with the dog meat seller, and couldn't prove anything until he remembered that he had injected an RFID chip into his pet, and was finally able to convince the local police to arrest the dog meat seller for theft of personal property.

So, while I was there, me and my wife were always vigilant in keeping track of where our toy poodle ran off to. Just about every other day, you hear of "lost pet" stories from distraught owners...

Some people believe that no action at all is just as bad as the actions condemned. At least some people have the balls to at least say what they think is wrong and what isn't wrong.

I also firmly believe that anybody who thinks cruelty is wrong in China will agree that its wrong anywhere in the world.

This is not about whether somebody eats: dogs, cats, horses etc... its the methods used.

If you think removing the skin from something while it is still alive is OK then I think you need to evaluate some things, because whether its on the internet, or in real life, that says a few things about you. If you think this thread is about eating animals, then you need to learn how to read.

Personally, I haven't signed anything or donated any money. Because I believe (or hope strongly) that in the majority of cases most people try to be somewhat decent and civil about things and aren't skinning animals alive. And also that people recognize the truly cruel people and treat them accordingly.

Hey fucktard, I don't need you to try and give me an english lesson. The definition of Darwinism (better!?) is "A theory of biological evolution developed by Charles Darwin and others, stating that all species of organisms arise and develop through the natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the individual's ability to compete, survive, and reproduce." So in other words they evolve while LIVING or simply die out, they don't just die to make way for more "evolved forms". Hence natural selection where the weaker or in your case less intelligent would die off quickly. Oh and to be clear the word evolve means to develop gradually so be more careful in your wording if you don't know the exact meaning of it.
I'm having a hard-time understanding your argument. What you seem to be saying is that you don't care because these animals since they're "strays" are considered un-evolved, etc? Simply because they have no home? Makes sense..:duh: Maybe orphans should be next on your list!?
