well i got a more or less stock blacktop sr notch, just bolt ons, im goin to upgrade turbo, head studs, gasket, cams if it worth it ive been told its not worth the money. i was think gt2871r, enthalpy tune, already got maf, and 555cc injectors, does this sound right, is there a better turbo, its a street car that will go to strip occasionally and used on roadcourse/auto x. maybe this wont get locked.....doubt it

You're going to get a ton of people on here with torches, Hope you have a flame suit..lol. :trogdor:
If you got 550cc, and don't plan on going any higher, and don't want cams, I would go with the gt2860rs, lots of torque for Autocross and roadcourse and though you definatly won't be the fastest guy on the drag strip, you'll be able to keep up the the Vets and Cameroes that aren't modded like crazy.
If you want a bit more top end then I would definatly go with 256 or even 264 cams, they will keep your top end from chocking. Though You'll need 740cc's to support a bigger turbo like a gt2871r or even going real big with a 3071r.
I'm actually looking at the Borg Warner EFR 6258 turbo, there is a post on another forum where someone is just about to get a dyno run on this thing (hopefull this week). He has a stock notch-top (like what I have).
The impressive thing with this turbo is, it's only got a 62mm compressor and a large 58mm turbine( GT30 size), but its made of titanium and has an almost 1:1 compressor/turbine weight and size ratio. I'm betting this thing will outspool the Pototoe and have the top end of a 2871r .86. It's already been test fitted and fits on our stock manifolds with only very very minor mods.

i was thinkin the 2871r .64, i had a built redtop with BC 272 cams, GT3076r, 740cc, enthalpy, ran great 11.67 best qtr. but i dont want cams that extreme this time, it was a little drag monster so the slow spool was alright, but ide like a quicker spool, maybe smaller cams and that turbo or some other combo? thanks again

if you don't know what you need you should probably search and learn more, not flaming just trying to help. do a lot of research try to find dyno pulls and ask yourself how much power you want out of that car, for small tracks (autocross and some smaller road courses) your focus should be on suspension components; learn to drive the car before you add a bunch of power to it.
