I have a Nissan S13 1993. i'm trying to rebuild my KA24 engine with turbo T28. i have 1 engine came out from the S13 "Red Top" it has a Knock on it and really really bad timing. i bought another KA24 Engine but came out from the S14. the guy that i bought it off he said it has good timing only has 80k miles on it i forgot what he said about th compression.
What i'm really worry about is something different on th S13 and S14 fuel injection. i was comparing the 2 engine they are both the same.. both of them are dual cam. The Fuel Injection is different.

the intake mannys are different...
currently im using a s13 block with a s14 intake manny. so yeahhh

first thing. SLOW THE FUCK DOWN! Stay on the topic you need help with. The item in the video you were talking about is called a FPR (fuel Pressure Regulator). The one with the red cover had a stock one while the other one had an aftermarket one. There are very minor difference between the s13 and s14 ka24de. The s14 doesnt have butterflies in the Intake manifold, slightly different compression, different size cams, header, and dizzy. other wise. They are the same

Alright where to start.
Youre doing the same swap i did pretty much.
i picked up a s14 ka with only like 70k on it, but i discoverd it had a blown clutch bad bearings ect
i have a 92 S13, came with a KA24DE
Im useing a motor out of a 95 S14 KA24de
My motor is build as such:
S14 block, head, pistons, rods, crank, oil pump, water pump, upper intake manifold (no butterflys)
S13 lower intake manifold S13 sr20 injectors, s13 throttle body, s13 DIZZY, s13 fuel rail (s13 sr20 actually, but its the same.)
You need to take intake minifold off of the s13 motor, and use it on the s14 motor it uses diffrent sensors and the lower half puts the throttle body in a diffrent location.
You will also need to use the dizzy out of the s13 engine.
other than that its a direct swap and fit and it will work fine.
so long as your useing the s13 ecu.
If your going turbo you dont need to orry about exhuast manifolds really.
while its out of the car i would rebuild as much of it that you can, that s14 motor had a furl pressure regulator on it, and it looked like a cheepo one..
That would lead one to suspect that motor was beaten to death
so at the least pull off a brearing and check it out...
i did the same thing, i rebuild the s14 engine 100% then turbo'd it.

I just got th Manifold off my Car.. my question is can i swap my FPR from my S13 and put it in my S14, also can i use my same harness wires from my S13 to S14? My S14 engine came out from a 1996 240..
i also like ur picture gave me a clue wat it will looks like, very awesome i actually have a friend name Brad helping me out and he gave me this link a full set of S13 or S14 Kit rebuild..

did u buy ur KA24 engine and add turbo kit? or u bought a rebuild kit and Mod ur KA24 from there?

ok..
heres what i said.
To use a s14 KA in a S13..
Use the s13 dizzy.
the s13 manifold.
the s13 harness
the s13 ecu.
and the s13 cams are a slight upgrade.
i spun a bearing in my s13 ka.
so i got a s14 motor from some kid doing a sr20 swap.
and i was going to just drop it in, but i decided to check it all out.
it needed bearings ect, so i took it 100% apart and replaced everything.
then i picked up some turbo stuff from here and there.
and i mashed it all onto the s14 motor.
so yea, use all the s14 stuff sept the things i listed.

s13 manifold. s13 fuel rail.. dont use that shitty FPR just use the stock one on the s13 rail.
