The only thing i got out of this was.
1. You stayed at a local store.
2. Read import tuner about accord.
3. Has almost 50/50 weight dis.
4. Fancy car on top.
5. For 16k you can have kit.

I've been a closet kit car fan now for about 7 years (I've got a thing for the Z-car rebodies). I haven't read the magazine this guy is rambling about but the I think I know which kit car he's talking about.

The car is the Attack (http://www.k1-styling.sk/attack.htm) by a eastern european company known as K1-Styling (http://www.k1-styling.sk) they do have a distributor in the US though. K1 also have a really nice 3rd gen camaro/ferrari rebody called the evo I & evo II.

yea, i like kit cars too, they are a pretty cool concept. I've seen a fiero at this place i used to work at. It looked exactly like a Diablo(on the outside), i was amazed, but once you get up close you can tell its not, by the interior.

It was kinda funny his liscense plate was idlook2.

K-1 was pimping that kit about 3 years ago telling folks it was "just about done" I think they released it about a year ago. They seem to have a good rep as far as kit car manafactuar's go but that's a large chunk of change to convert a FWD to MWD and spruce up the exterior.

As far as donor's are concerned in the 70's the popular chassis to use was the VW beetle, in the 80's a lot of fiero rebodies (with some frame lengthening) popped up. In the 90's the majority of the kit cars seemed to be on fieros with beetle's in a close second. The donor's of yesterday are fading away in rusty heaps in junkyards.

Kit car companies are having their hands forced to find new donors like SUV's (http://www.rodster.com/home.htm) and Cop cars (http://superstepside.com/photos/StepsidesAtDaytona.jpg) just to name a few.

I personally would love to see a nice 240sx rebody done but that's just me. In ten years there's no telling which donor car (if any) will be the hot ticket item.
