City: Salem
State/Province: OR
Country: USA
Price: Want to trade, or $4500.
Item Description:
I have a 1992 240SX Convertible that I have up for trade. I can do either a straight trade, or a trade with cash on your end depending on the car. I don't have extra cash to play with, sorry! I do have a set of new Megan coils (still in box) to play with though, but that's all! I'm interested in:
S14s
S13s (Must have no sunroof!!!)
Turbo MR2s.
B13 Sentra SE-R
B15 Sentra SE 2.0
P11 G20
Integra GSR
Del Sol Si or vtec
EK Civic Hatch
Miata
Corolla GTS or XRS
If someone wants to buy it, I'm asking $4500. Keep in mind that there were only approximately 8000 convertibles made (all automatic transmissions) out of a quarter million 240SXs sold in the USA. They are fairly rare. The cars are also numbered. This car is # 456.
It has a clean title. Chassis has just over 200k, but motor has a lot less miles than that. The motor and tranny came out of a 1997 240SX that got an SR. So the convertible is now a 5 speed, with a working top. There is a switch below the dash to go between "drive" and "park". This is so the top works, but your not stuck in "park" mode which runs really rich. The swap was done correctly and very cleanly! The interior is very clean as well! The engine runs amazing, and will last a VERY long time! I even dyno'd the car for the hell of it, and it produces a healthy 114whp and 123.6 ft-lb of tq. This was even at 4500ft elevation and a hot summer day! It also has a clean title. A/C Blows Cold, and no rust!!! Factory paint is in good shape too!
Mods that are on the car currently (pics are from last summer):
180SX VLSD
Aftermarket Rear Sway Bar
Clutchmasters Clutch
Alpine CD Deck
Alpine Speakers
10" sub with amp (400w rms)
5 Speed Swap

Strut bar and exhaust are not on the car anymore. It has a clean factory exhaust now. Stereo pictured is old Sony deck.
The Bad:
Only body damage is on the driver side door where the door and the front fender met because the door flew open too much. It's not terrible, but it's there. With a new fender and coupe door conversion, it'll be gone! Also, very small ding above the rear driver side wheel arch.
Driver side quarter window doesn't like to roll back up if rolled down. I haven't had the time to fix this, but it's fixable without spending much money at all.
Passenger side door window leaks if in a heavy downpour. Probably needs a new seal.
Cruise control doesn't work (since 5-speed swap), just need to figure out the wiring.
