I hate used car salesmen!

My luck is really bad. I found the perfect car and it is at a used car lot! It is in great condition, only 3 problems. I called him up and told the dealer I was gonna take it by a mechanic tomarrow to get a few tests and some opinions on the probelms. Well, he took it upon himself to have their own shitty mechanic fix it. They filled it up with gas too, when I wanted it on a low tank cause I think the tank pump is bad. They just cleaned to engine too. They want $5,000 whenit is worth $3600 in perfect condition, $3100 in it's current state. Now he is gonna want $5,000 when i could have fixed it myself. I offerd him the $3,500 but he won't answer, he just dodges the question. And I am not gonna drive an hour and a half and then pay $80 to a mechanic if he isn't gonna be resonable on the price.
ARG!!! Just had to vent....

you cant offer a salesman a price.  you give him the price you want (obviously it has to be reasonable) and tell him take it or leave it.  if he says leave it go find another one.
