Well, finally got a feul pump installed, so I wanted to start boosting. I got a Greddy profec B... the new ones, apex s-afc II , hks megaflow, greddy fmic, blitz bov which doesn't blow off, and 3 inch dp / test pipe/ STOCK EXHAUSt. I have tried setting the profec but i can't get it to boost past 7 psi and hold. It always seems to spike ? Is it possible i'm not setting it right?
Im thinking that the stock exhaust is causing too much back pressure? Well i'm waiting for my exhaust.

Aren't there only like 2 settings of boost on the profec b(high and low)? From what I understand you set your low to a certain boost level and your high on another to toggle back and forth.

did you put the right dip settings in the back of the unit?
set the balance right in the middle
Low boost will only get you to 1bar with the balance at sharp. high boost will get farther than 1 bar but I am not sure how much. has to do with what the wastegate is set for first.

uhhhh the Profec B spec 2 does not have any dipswitches on the back of it. I am having a similar problem, but mine is that it is not holding boos and it is surging up and down from 14psi to 10psi and back. I have no clue how to level it off :(

I had the same problems you had...the vaccum lines were hooked up wrong. You can check SRSWAP.COM they have a vaccum line diagram that would help you out. Also BLITZ BOV are known to leak boost. So besure to check that out and adjust the spring accordingly. If you need anymore help let me know. I can't check my lines right now because im not home but i'll be next week.

Try this, I have the GReddy Type-R BOV. The stock spring in the BOV doesn't open until 20lbs. of boost. So I had to buy a new spring for $20 that made it open at very low boost levels. Here is a quick test, take the BOV off, and see if you can push open the metal flaps that lets the boost out. If you can push it open, then this post has been useless lol. If you can't push them open, you need a new and also a lighter spring. SR Power Baby!

What are you running for settings on the profec?
This gives me a pretty solid 10 psi on a red top w/ FMIC and stock exhaust.
boost (duty cycle or whatever the first setting is called): 52%
gain: 12
set gain (start boost): 80
Make certain you don't have any exhaust leaks before the turbo.

My mistake - my 10 psi setting is with the duty cycle at 50%
