no the waterproof backing is not open like the motorsports backing so it
picks up sound better

so my question is can i mount this to my car and be able to film rain/snow as well as sunshine lol. or if its snowy/rainy it will hinder the sound?? like wouldnt the case protect it from shit flying or if it falls?the plastic case that they all come with?
EDIT: the backing on the non surf 1 has holes for sound?? but does it catch all the wind noise?

That video seems to be pretty high quality for that little camera. I was expecting super pixelated crap.

go pro's are the best! almost everyone here has one, they retail over $300 for the HD model. i think i paid $319 plus tax!
if the new drift innovation cameras didnt have the wireless remote option, id buy this for a second cam, but the fact you have to physically push record start/stop on the cam really restricts where you put it on your car to be able to control it strapped in harnesses in most cases.
but im on the fence.
but in a sense now, ive had my go pro fly off my car over 80km drifting, and be completely unharmed actually due to the strong waterproof case i kept on, which doesnt hinder the sound one bit either.
+1 for a go pro.
