After my motor is done being built, i've decided since it's going to get tuned on race gas, and i'm gonna drive it daily, i'll just keep pumping race gas. I was just wondering, if anyone else only uses race gas on their daily cars, and how do you feel about doing so?

im tuned for 100 from japan so i do a 91 mix with turbo 108 it works.

I don't have a lot of money. I work 2 jobs, just to build my car. You gotta pay to play, everyone building a car should know that.

it's retarded and not going to happen. just run 2 maps. one for pump gas and one for race gas....when you're feeling tough, get some race gas. be realistic and smart.

Yeah, how much is race gas near you? Last time I bought some about 5 years ago it was $8 a gallon, im too scared to look now

I used to run 100 octane.... $8+/Gallon SUCKS....
You just can't daily a car on race gas simply because it costs too much. You'll get frustrated at some point realizing you've spent $500+ more dollars on gas than you would have using 91.
I lucky have E85 in my area, so I went that route.
Two maps is my recommendation if you want to enjoy a potent fuel every once in a while.

Very few people run simply race gas. If they do it's because they have multiple cars to rely on. I agree with the rest and running a dual map setup.

I heard octane booster is bad because it burns super hot, my uncle melted a piston on his harley using it. Have you guys had any problems?

^ Search it a little. I've seen quite a few places that claim it does nothing at all.
And a video on youtube i think??...That has the guys from top gear do some "serious research" on it and i believe that they lost 2-4 hp from it in their tests.
for the price you are paying to run on race gas along with the mpg your, 'race engine' will get isn't worth it. buy a car to daily drive. much smarter idea.

It literally does not run properly without 93 octane Shell V-power, especially with those hydrocarbons and shit. It's just the only thing that works. :o

Most Harleys are air cooled and melt all by themselves if you let them idle long enough.

I run 356 octane all the time. Sets me back about $156.00 a litre (Canadian, don't know what that works out to in galons, sorry). Typically costs me about 10 grand to fill the tank from empty, I usually have to fill up three times a week. *
* Just use two maps, one for pump, one for race gas.

dont do it. itll end up burning a hole in your pocket. either get a ems that can run dual maps(like stated above) or just run pump gas. and if you go to the track run 100oct and youll be fine.

Pretty much all aftermarket ECU/Standalone/Flashes/piggy back allow you to run 2 maps and switch on demand.

Most of the time i run 100 octane AV Gas in my daily. Its only $3.37 a gal and its just what i have ran from day one of owning this car.... Girls love it .... it gets you laid ... lol

Have fun cleaning your spark plugs and valves, then replacing your O2 sensor from lead fouling.

I ran 101 octane all day every day In my Evo, So Its possible If your pockets can take it. Yes I drove that car everywhere! EVERYWHERE! If worse came to worse I would pump 91 but wouldn't even come near boost. made 430awhp n 398 awtq at 21 psi.. great gas mileage..

Toulene freakin works. Cobra/Lightning guys love the stuff, and there is no doubt it worked for me on track. I've since went with water injection but toulene worked nice!

Av Gas (as S14db pointed out) is low lead stuff. Sure cars may run fine, but it's not ideal or even suggested. Sort of an 'old head' thing.

Unsure if it's sarcastic or not, but if you're serious it's kidna laughable considering 420 is totally capable on pump gas.

Good stuff. I'm sure that I could afford it, since I live near where I work, so I barely put any mileage on my car. But, meth seems to be the smarter alternative for me at this point. On top of that, the gas station that used to dispense 100 octane, hasn't had any in a while.

It wasn't needed but Also had 30psi map which was on 101 so I never ran anything less Incase I felt that urge and Higher octane Is safer for knock and ping levels rather than 91. And technically It was pumped from a gas pump at 76 gas station so It Is pump gas
