my buddies selling his gt2871r

i have a stock redtop with a front mount and 2.5 or 3" exhaust

just wondering if i would need to upgrade injectors and tune with it

or could i just bolt it on and be fine for a little while

You might be fine at like 7psi.

But usually to run that turbo safely, you would need a Z32 MAF, a set of 440-740cc injectors (depending on desired boost levels), and at least an SAFC2 to tune it with a bit.

i personally would wait and buy all the stuff you need (ecu, injectors, maf, lines: (optional but definetly get them too)) because its not a good idea to run a bigger turbo with all stock parts, you begin to get pre detonation which could make your piston rings go bad.
oh and you also need the reclock kit, the turbo wont fit your car just like that.

Do it right the first time, save up money, then buy new turbo with supporting mods.
