Hello my name is Matizzles !
this is my first nissan 240 sx
picked her up for $900 not running clean title :naughtyd:
And the reason it was not running was because of a broken cam gear(the exhaust ripped through the vlalve cover =o)

So i always waanted the coupe after i left the honda game
:dead:

So I got it home feb. 4 2011
and the first thing i did that night was to Take the valve cover off and see the damage.
I dont have pics of the damage, but to give an image, the valve cover was broken in 2 pieces on the left exhaust cam gear.
So i got to work

Jacked her up and began taking out all the radiator and fan stuff (hoses, fan shred, and ect.) and draining the fluids.

(ignore the top intake manifold half that was later when i took that off.
Took me about 2 1/2 hours in total with a friend to remove the head.(remember this is my first time ever removing a ka24de head.)
We ran into troubles taking the intake manifold ....took for ever to remove those 12mm bolts. And even after we removed them all and the bracket bolts under the manifold....it would not budge!
-_-...so we decided to remove the half top portion of the intake manifold.
Even that proved to be a pita!

anyways....so after we got the top portion along with the fuel rail and the engine harness, we removed the cams and the head bolts. That was after setting it to tdc.
and when i removed the head this is what it looked like....starting from cylinder 1-2-3-4.

apparently an intake valve was hitting...what do you guys think??
So now that im typing my head rebuild
do you guys think the pistons look good enough for a rebuild head to be slapped on? This is only a dd for now. Thank you and more updates soon!
I really need to know if the pistons look good tell me what you think and by the way the cylinder walls have no ugly grooves looks really smooth.
