what sup guys im having an issue with my car rite now its a 93 s13 coupe no abs and the problem i have is my brakes seem to not have any pressure and when they do its usually when the car is turned off and even then its not alot of pressure i bled the brakes already theres no air so what can it be?? could it be the check valve gone bad?? brake booster gone bad?? bmc bad?

Master Cylinder is probably worn out and needs to be replaced.

If check valve went bad then Brake pedal would be really Stiff while the engine is running

brake pedal is real soft really soft when car is on. and when its off its kind of stiff.

+1 for brake master. When the car is on, the engine vacuum is what will multiply the force you put on the pedal by 3X to the master cylinder pushrod. With that extra pressure a minor leak in the bore will cause the brakes to go to shXX. When the car is off the vacuum doesn't assist with the braking pressure....hence the stiff pedal.



.....Also a leak in the master cylinder bore is internal, so there will be no visible leak to see.

most likely bmc but did u change anything before hand

well see i bought the car like this and had it towed home because the motor i guess had rod knock and was not drivable so i got the car running my self and turns out the brakes didnt work so the only thing ive done so far was bleed all the brakes and saw no air bubbles at all so im gonna go with replacing the bmc and post back on here if i have any more issues thanks for the help guys.

its cool i got one from my friend for 10 bucks off his working car thanks though if you got a ps rack for a s13 in working condition and more local the sac town then we can have a deal.
