Hey people,

I hope this is in the correct section!! If not please move it

When I bought my S14 Kouki (SR20DET) I was told it had a JIC magic tubular manifold, however there aren't any reciepts in my folder which back this up, or alternatively lead me to believe it isn't!!

I just wondered whether any of you are running one of these manifolds and could tell me what you think of it, and even better if you've got any pictures of it - it would be brilliant.

Reason i'm asking is because to get a JIC manifold over here in the UK would be quite expensive, a lot of companies over here (about 5 different ones) do a manifold exactly the same which are a lot lower quality and are prone to cracking. All of the mods done on my car have been on it for years as even the previous owner bought it with the mods so no way to find out - the manifold is quite old now and hasn't cracked touchwood so wouldn't mind knowing what one it is :D

Any help appreciated

Cheers,
Mark

Pictures?

I'm sure a company like JIC would have a stamp or something on it with their name.

But maybe not :/

best to ask brogers about jic related stuff he could probably answer that.

Thanks for the reply. This is exactly what I thought to myself although there isn't a thing on it!!

I've found some pictures on here of somebody selling one, looks exactly the same as mine although as in the original post I can't be sure as others over here are the same as well.

Thanks dude

I'll see if I can message him and see what he has to say, what is hs exact name? Brogers isn't coming up :D

jic manifolds do not have any stamping or markings to determine if its real or not.

Thanks dude :bigok:

Nice one. I spent quite a while looking at mine (because its gone a darker colour from use) to see if there was any marking at all and I couldn't find a thing!! Good to know

all tubular manifolds are prone to cracking.

Agreed.

However, what I said above is that the quality of the manifolds over here are low therefore are a lot more likely to crack than a good quality one, such as JIC

I have no receipt although the mods have been on my car for 5+ years as I have the receipts for almost every one and they were all done roughly at the same time, the previous owner bought the car like it too

Fact is, the manifold hasn't cracked. This means that me = very impressed and would buy another :bigok::bigok:

Anyone else with any pictures or anything would be very much appreciated!!

Also, where would be the cheapest place to buy one new (in the states?)
