How are brakes Type X?

KOUKI 180SX doesn't always mean Type fucking X.

Sorry man, I didn't help your thread in anyway, but I just had to say something. Maybe S14 rotors?

Silvia/180SX brakes are typically Maxima brakes for similar years if I remember correctly.

yup, maxima rotors work with them

and altima calipers are exactly the same as type x ones

Dude, 91-95 Q45 has 280x28 mm rotor (same as Z32 brakes)

96-01 Q45 are 296x30 mm rotor (same as R33 GTR)

Both are BIGGER CHEAPER than the "type x" crap you are getting

Well apparently YOU do.:Owned:

You came in here asking "these dumbass ppl" for help because you're too much of a "dumbass" to do research for yourself. Did you ever think of typing in 180sx brakes, or maxima/altima brakes in the search bar?

to prove my point a basic search of 180sx brakes pulls this up
so here are the rules...

1) only post rotor specs (car, year, model, diameter, thickness, additional information)
2) do not write what you think. must know for sure.
3) if it is stated wrong on here tell us and the information will be erased and replaced BUT you must provide a link that verifies the source.
4) if there is a car not listed and you know the sizes post it and it will be added. again add a source so we can check to make sure.
5) hope this helps.

NOTES:

1) You can use the Z32 calipers with rotor sizes of 28-32mm (i.e. Supra, VR4, GTR, etc.).
2) Brackets are needed with use of Z32 calipers with rotors larger than 280mm (i.e. GTR, VR4, Supra).
3) There is a company that makes a bracket for the use of VR4 rotors but pushes the caliper out towards the rims, you will need at least a 15mm spacer for the rims.
4) Some rotors need you to bore out the center hub section to fit on a Nissan hub or add hubcentric rings.

UPDATED ON 4/07/05

I even highlighted it just in case you can't find it

you are a moron
Mike is hardly a moron, he knows his shit, at the rate that 300zx calipers go for and the readily available upgrades for them it would only take a moron to go after "type x brakes", this has been discussed on here so many times and the general consencus is that it is a waste of time, and money to use the slightly bigger 180sx brakes, even if they are free lol thats fine though keep thinking you're smart for having "type x brakes" even though they came on other models than "type x"

damn, i dont even have to speak anymore.

takes the fun out of shit talking. but seriously, small brakes are for people with small wheels and small tires. maybe you should consider buying a 1st gen miata.

there is no room for sub Z32 brakes on our cars. Z32 should be the bare fucking minimum. do you even canyon your car? 1 trip down sepulveda at reasonably fast speeds would cook my pads.. and i ran good well maintained brake setup

type x brakes, anyone?
