I buy a S15 steering wheel, and i wanne sale my S14 kouki steering wheel. How much is it worth?

Looks like that, only a little more used but in good condition.

b/c its JDM.. ppl buy anything thats jdm. thats why you see ppl wanting s15 steering wheels, s15 shift knobs, s13 'silvia' steering wheels. etc.. i myself, would get an aftermarket steering wheel like momo..

but momo doesnt have airbag...

S15 steering wheel does have airbag...so that in case u crash, the momo logo wont be the last thing u'll ever see.

and that is why my car has a roll cage and harnesses, so that the airbag is not the last thing i'll ever see.

do a read-up on the NHTSA web site, you can see some of the crash tests they did on cars like the S13, S14, and Z32. Amazingly enough, the S13 had safer crash test results than both the S14 and Z32 (in order of safety, respectively).

First, in germany its not allowed to remove the airbag if you have driver and passenger airbag. I only can buy the S15 wheel, there is no other company that offers airbag steering wheels for the S14.

actually there is a nismo wheel that is pimp as hell and came with an airbag but its quite rare, especially stateside.

And yes, my 89 has no airbag but had excellent crash ratings. Besides, I've been in several accidents with an airbag and both hurt me more than the helped.

Is that center consonle on the Z-Edition painted Silvier or is that brushed aluminum? I think it looks pretty good. I'd maybe get the brushed aluminum interior peices but being those on stick on might be pretty tackey.

It's painted. (from the factory). .
which is really the same way they color other interior pieces. . (I noticed my mom's beige interior in her Altima is actually just painted on. . those pieces are black plastic haha)

I was correct. Looks pretty damn tackey. If I were to acually buy it i'd only get the for the center console minus the AC cover and ash trash cover. All that extra looks way too much and cheap looking.

You could probably MAKE it fit. .but I was just saying that it seems to ONLY fit with the rear fog insert for euro plates.
Looks made specially for the european market. I don't think it would look right at all on a USDM 240sx.

@ OtionZero. If you buy the rear lip from your Nissan dealer you pay 550€ (600$) not painted and without the 16% tax. Its a special part made from a aftermarket company for Nissan. I only can look around and if somebody crash his car you can find one of this items. Thats the way i find mine. I think you have to pay 250€ (270$) for a used lip.
But i think you can install the valence alone, without the ugly german bumper. USDM and EUDM Bumper looks the same for me.

We have the SR20DET, but you can just swap the engine use wheels and exhaust systems you want and nobody cares. In germany the cops dont like tuned cars, ist pretty hard to legalize the real cool tuning parts and if they come from USA or Japan its nearly impossible. But i tune cars since 1997, so i know some shops in germay they legalize me many things. I hope next year my car wear the ings+1 body kit and the SSR rims.

I kinda like the German rear bumper w/ the extra lights, but yeah...lip looks like it should fit, maybe a little trimming around the license plate area.

If its a urethane piece, thats not too bad. Please do let me know if you find a used piece. $600 for just a lip is much, but $275 is reasonable for a piece that rare from Europe.

The rear bumper is the same as the USDM rear bumper / earlier zenki Silvia rear bumper. . but the euro bumper has a cutout for the rear fogs. . (I saw a japanese catalog where you could order that part. . you could also order 240sx badging, or 200sx badging with a Nissan front hood badge. . haha they put our badging on, and we put Silvia stuff on ours)

I think there's a good chance the rear valance would fit. . . but I'm not positive. . it appears to be made to work with the extra rear fog / license holder of the euro bumper. I'm not sure tho. . never seen a 200sx in person. :)

I was thinking the same. . a silvia is pretty obviously not USDM. . .but I bet the 200sx has more similarities structurally. And, it's optionally LHD. . may be able to pass it off easier.


The stereo is OEM. . it's identical to my factory deck that came with the car (LE model had "premium" sound) . . the decks are really crappy, imo. . my factory clarion deck crapped out on me. (It's the SAME deck you'd find in a Maxima SE of the same year, or a Pathfinder. . etc etc). . the deck in my car now tho, is from a 98 Altima. It's the same, but has no CD changer controls or tape deck. (bought it off ebay for cheap). . they look the same.

Cops don't like tuned cars ANYWHERE you go. So do people in Germany like to tune the hell out of their cars (such as BMW, Porsche and Mercedes)?? I can picture a 993 GT2 with a 5in deep polished chrome lip on the rear wheels.

I like German cars :boink: to bad they are so expensive over here (even VW :rolleyes: ).

I think the main reason so many people like German cars here is 'cause Japan has been screwing us over for so many years. . we have the 240sx instead of the 200sx, no Skyline GT-R was ever sent to us by Nissan (I realize all were RHD, but you have a grey market at least, if I'm not mistaken). . just two examples, but there's a lot more :D

Germany, on the other hand, seems to send us just about all the good stuff. . M3, M5, Z8 even. . haha. . 911 Turbo. .you name it, we've probably got it. .

umm...do you think he will sell the spiral cable? its the hub that the steering wheel sits on. But its also a harness for the horn and airbag.

I found a company in the UK that makes a fiberglas replica of the lip only, selling for about 150GBP (pounds?).

I dont know if your friend is parting out the bumper and lip..but if he doesn't want to sell the lip, i would'nt mind taking the bumper only.

Actually, if you can find ANY european 200sx bumper, it would probably work.

Again, i have no idea how much this stuff is worth, and i'm pretty broke right now.
It would be alot cheaper to buy the lip and bumper together, though, and save on shipping, instead of shipping from two different places because the lip and the bumper are LARGE packages.

a JDM kouki rear bumper is worth around $320USD...i imagine a german bumper is a little more...

If i get my second job, i would probably begin more serious discussions about buying it, but for now, can you just see if he's selling it or not first? Then we'll work out a price.

Since it is just bumper and lip, I do not want to spend too much, even though it is RARE piece.

A bumper from one of those Japanese companies is like $500usd already, i wouldn't want to spend too much more than that.

These are my 2 Opels. The First one is a 93' Kadett it was a 1.6L 8V 75hp engine but i swap the motor. Now its a 2.0L 16V with around 170hp NA Engine. And the second is a 82' Kadett wit a 1.3L 8V 75hp Engine. But next year i will swap the engine too.

2. its stock in the S14 and in the S14a. Tell me if you want a S14 or S14a cluster and how much you want to spend and i will look around for you.

@brianglawson, you can order the Speedster with a 2.2L 16V 147hp engine or the 2.0L 16V Turbo engine with 200hp. You also can find the Turbo engine in the 3 door Astra OPC, the Astra Coupe, the 5 door Astra OPC Caravan and in the fastest stock Van in the world. The Zafira OPC.
