im new to the 240 game. and im loving it. but now my car wont start :( it cranks and it turns over but it wont start! i changed the fuel pump, checked for spark and its all good im totally lost. dont wanna take it to a shop so does anyone have a suggestion on wat it might be?

does the fuel pump prime up? ur injectors may be clogged or the dizzy might be off time.
check if everythings connected

did you try putting the key in the ignition and turning? that always works with my cars

Op did the car start BEFORE you changed the fuel pump?
Sounds like you messed up the install.
S13 pumps don't really go bad.

well my just died outta no where. i was pumping gas and wen i tried leaving it would crank and then over but it wouldn't start. and Yea imma double check my installation today

dizzy=distributor (where the wire plugs come out from)
if youve never messed w it then thats not it...
so the car ran fine before you pumped gas???

does your exhaust throw a loud pop when you try to turn it on?
if it does its timing.

i took the cap of to see if it turns wen i crank it and it does so I'm guessing its not the timing either. and no it just cranks like its about to start but it dosent. it tried giving it gas wen I'm trynna start it and nothing. checked for spark too and there spark.

edit: im a dumbass cause i didnt read :/

if it died outa no where it would be fuel pump. (had the same problem that and fuel filter) actually remove 1 of the main lines from the intake manny and put it in something to catch the fuel. have someone turn the key to the crank position of nothing comes out well theres your problem. just because it sounds likes it priming doesnt mean it actually is

BTW, you did check the fuel pump fuse?

well there is no gas coming out of the fuel line.. i think imma check my intallation of the fuel pump again lol

wait, i was about to check the fuel pump and one of the wires on the top of the lid where the gas pump goes is disconected. i think i found my problem. do they sell those seperatly??

one of the wires from the plate that covers the fuel pump is ripped off.. i think i need a new plate does anybody know where i can get one??

Didnt state what kind of engine it is.. check your CAS, if it's off a bit, it wont fire up, install per fsm

i think having no fuel pressure is a better shot at this point.

But once you confirm fuel pressure, spark and compression then yeah cas/dizz should be checked out

im gunna guess KA since hes "new to the 240 game, dwag"
