actually it could be argued that map sucks. map is very temperature sensitive, and cant compensate like a maf can for different conditions. if you recirc your bov maf works great
anyways my vote is for nistune, and all the info you need is on these sites

I've only had experience with the apexi per fc (on a fully rb25) loved it,only thing is I had a maf set up and I about maxed a z32 maf at 8800 rpm's in first. If your not shooting to make over 550whp a maf set up is the way to go. Maf can make better fine tune adjustments better that map can. If your not shooting for anything around or over that than I say ether is good it would just come down to how much you wanted to spend.

not exactly with nistune we can run a cobra or lightning maf which are good for 700hp.

Agreed. if you're planning on running more than 700HP, get a standalone with MAP based. Oh, and make sure the standalone can run a 4 or 5 bar MAP sensor.

Forgot about the cobra Maf. What about the aftermarket mats they make for the cobra's that read way higher than that would they work?

well i don't plan on 700hp any time soon maybe in a couple years.Im just looking for a low budget tuning setup for a beginer that i would be able to learn how to tune my self.Is it hard to tune with the apex commander??did any one watch the vid in my first post??
