I own a 94 S13 convertible. I have completely removed the top, the hydraulic pump and its assembly, so I'm a bit lighter in the rear than I would like. I have just finished prepping the car for the RB25 swap and am shopping for the best differential.

I know the basic differences between the types of diffs, but need an opinion as to the best one to replace my crappy stock diff. I'm not going to drift. It's going to be a weekend driver and showoff car.

I can nab a R200V from a S14, Z32 or J30. That feels like the cheap way to go. Is it the best?

I have also seen the Kaaz aftermarket replacement. It seems pricey... is it worth it?

I plan on putting down 500+ to the wheels when it's all said and done. I really want to take full advantage of the diff's abilities, as the rear end is a featherweight compared to what it should be.

Any one have suggestions?

http://www.quaifeamerica.com/

your looking at about 1.2k tho...

Or 1k for a good clutch type...

Stock VLSD should be fine if the fluid is good... But it breaks down over time... And with 500+ hp you want all the power to the ground.. not smoke in the air.

I'm looking into the gear drive Quaife ... it can corner good and do a fast | line...

any aftermarket LSD will be fine.
in fact, as long as you don't flog it TOO badly (i.e. drifting or track events), a VLSD will be fine too. Of course, being a showoff car, you'll need bling, so go ahead and get the Quaife. It's not only a quality diff, it's pretty much the most expensive one available.

Kaaz is good to 1000WHP from what I've heard and many race cars use it!
