Aftermarket Headunit with Stock Amp?

The title said it. Can I use both of them together or do I have to bypass the amp? thanks!

No! Bypass the stock amps because you will eventually blow the HU due to the resistance load (2ohm) on the stock system.

what about using a peripherial pack??? that's what i used to do on my maxima with the bose system.

I have not seen one for the 240sx system. And I don't believe it was Bose either. It is Clarion similar to the Maxima setup, But I think the Maxima system was pushing 1ohm to the speakers effeciently.

Besides, the stock speakers are not as good as the Maxima's, and there is no special chamber for better response like the Maxima had in the front.
