well i just finished installing my cusco mounts today, and when i went to drive the car afterwards it would start sputtering and not make any power while under boost. my boost gauge says its making 12psi? it does drive completely norrmal not under boost. i dont think the mounts are related to the issue other than i think i knocked something loose? maybe a vacume line? idk please help!

Either your timing is off or you have a boost leak.Did you boost leak test it?

tell me when you spool up does your bov go off or sound very weak if it does boost leak for sure.

If its a boost leak, you should get black smoke from the back when it sputters, have someone drive behind you and check.

I had that problem years back and its wasn't a boost leak (per say). My boost pressure gauge was teed off the same line going to the WGA. Unfortunately, my actuator developed a hole/leak in the diaphragm. My boost guage read somewhere along the lines of 10 PSI so I couldn't figure out what was wrong. If I didn't "floor it", I could develope boost and accelerate (up to 3/4 throttle). Once floored it would sputter out.

Trying something different, I hooked up my boost gauge to something other than the line attached to the WGA, I found out my boost was 17PSI!!!!. Before I changed out my WGA , I changed out my ECU (had everything ready to upgrade fuel system). The chipped ECU didn't sputter out, even at 17psi (which I didn't floor the car often until I installed the new WGA)

I'm still not sure if it was blowing out the spark, or if there was some type of boost limiter on the stock ECU. It wasn't sputtering because of the leak (no black smoke from tailpipe when it sputtered)
