Either injector is more than enough, but if you are thinking about a JWT tune I would contact them to find out what brand injector he recommends for his tunes. I don't think enthalpy is as picky about brand. Both do great work.

Nistune is great if you wanna tune yourself or have a good local tuner

Yes 650 will be good for more hp, but 550's will do just fine also.. If you are planing on going for more in the future, just get the 650's now, and not have to worry later.

Ok good look on the input is jecs a decent company?i saw a set of 650 for like 230... wich is considerably cheap compared to others.By the way they are remanufactured and come with a flow test sheet>

base it off your future goals and current engine management.

if your running a rom tune with a SAFC stick with 550cc's

if you have a standalone or are going to soon. go 650cc's

after it comes back from apex sell it and buy Nistune. but if you really must use the SAFc. go no bigger than 550.

LOOOOL!

<meatloaf>took the words right outa my mouth</meatloaf>

To the O/P (and to mimic Bardabe), go with the biggest injector you can. 550's will get you to 350ish whp before being maxed out, so why not go with 740's and be done with it.

Injectors arent turbo suitable based, you could be running a TD06 on 550cc injectors.

They will max flow on HP rating achiveable, on an SR20 your looking at maxing out 550cc injectors at around the 220-240rwkw mark.

So if your only planning to run 200rwkw in an SR20 with that turbo 550cc is MORE than enough, but if down the track your really thinking of running more boost more power, then it would be nice to run 650/740's so your only running them at 60% load over 100%

As I said earlier, the 550's are plenty for 350ish whp assuming we're looking at lower 90% cycle. Considering 50lbers will max in the 350 range considering the tune, I bet you could see 375/380 whp at 100 percent duty...to say they max as low as 300-325 whp is not true. While that may be an old 'safe' limit, I think we all know that Nismo/STI sidefeed 550cc injectors will live just fine in the upper 90% duty cycle.

But the end comment is true, I'd rather run a larger CC injector at a much lower duty any day of the week. However I can't deny how 'tough' some injectors have proven to be at close to 100%.

so what kind of whp or bhp should i get with this setup, tomei 260,bc dual spring and ret,gt28r,740cc inj, greddy fmic, trust 3.5 inch exhaust greddy turbo elbow and dp,z32 mafs and nis tune.and what boost settings should i run with avcr

Why would you ever run BC springs on a Tomei cam? Run Tomei springs.

You should see 300-325 whp at big boost. Trust me when I say I'd strongly suggest going 2871r before you even get it set up...it will spool darn near as quickly as the 28r, but make 300 whp at amuch lower boost, while allowing much more power on the top end.

i also have flex a lite dual fans if that matters and jgy 6 puck clutch,i need to get a exhaust manifold tho whats good tomei from bottom mount setup

Stock manifold

Search for the '2871r thread' and read it all.

Google the horror stories about JGY

...amazing that people still us them :/

JGY suggesting BC springs/retainers is complete awful suggestion, especially when they are nothing more than a copycat company with no real RD section.

If you have tomei cams, run tomei springs. HKS cams? HKS springs. JWT Cams? JWT Springs.

I'd still sell the 28r and look at a 2871r setup if I were you. You're only going to be upset knowing you could have a turbo capable of another 50-75 whp, much more torque and average power, all on the same setup.

With a 28r, you're not going to need to take it much last 7000 rpm as its' just blowing hot air at that point. I'd say a save rev limit at 7850 though as when you upgrade turbo it will be good.

The major limiting factor of 'safe' additional revs (that is, 8000-9000) really are the lifters

doesnt matter between the two... get the cheaper set and put the savings towards a better tuner

i went from 650's down to 550's and made 12whp more... tired injectors i guess.

same tuner, rest of the set up was the same.. 650's were 2-3 years old.
