Does anyone know why the blinker flashes twice as fast when you replace the stock blinker bulb with a smaller one? To make a long story short, I had to swap bulbs in my 240 because of my new body kit and its blinking too quick for my taste.

The bigger the filament in the bulb, the more resistance there is in the current that passes thru the bulb....so the current passes slower thru the bigger bulb. Thats my understanding.

correct the only way to slow it down is to put in bigger bulbs OR use a no load flasher that has a constant rate regardless of resistance usually the emergency flasher is a no load unit although i am not sure if this is true on 240's
