so what do you guys think? it gives me the impression that all you need for an RB swap is this kit, an R33 RB25det front clip, and a driveshaft.

Id have to see pics of the kit, and maybe wait till someone else used it, to see the quality.

How about a kit from a good company?
http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com/sale.php
600 for the kit, 1150 with driveshaft.
New mounts rather than just adapters.
You can still use sUppeR 2nR motorsports (sorry, I don't know anything about the company, I just hate the name...soo f&f) for their wireing service, though mckinney may offer that as well if you e-mail them.

naaaa, I prefer not to get ripped off.
mckinney probably makes about 50% profit on their mounts.

WORD!!! Nismo241 made his own mounts for liek 8 bucks and has had no adverse affects. I used the stock mounts from the clip. Are you gerttign monts just to make the engine sit lower so you dont have to cut the hood skeleton??

Mckinneys RB install kit is top of the line, If you order it throught them you will pay like 1400 dollars, Check with Underground motorsports, They can sell it to you for like 995.00. That kit comes with the engine and tranny mounts, wiring service, and the custom drive shaft you need. Everything fits like a glove, I had zero probs when my buddy put his Rb in , I am going with the Mckinney kit even though it is a little pricey cuz I know it works the way they say it does.
guys, I have no idea about your car knowledge or metal work experience.
But.....I don't see how teh McKinney kit to be top of the line. LOOK at the mounts. They are NOT custom cast or forged. They are angle iron welded together. How can you fork over 600 bucks for someone to weld angle iron together? AND call it top of the line? It is not some magic black box that no one knows what it can do, it is laid plain in your sight in the picture.
I guess if you want to pay that much for other people's R&D, that is fine......but there are more than one post on net forum that said which nissan cross member can be bolted in without sepecial mounts, and how you can rotate the tranny mount to bolt the tranny in the stock location.
For all the hype and all the information available on the web, you guys can make the right decision for your budget and lifestyle.
I was also looking at the kit from super tuner..
I saw the McKinney and it come with jack ****...
BTW the link for super tuner is also on...

they are the ones who had it custome made...
Read it... you could learn some things...
Guess these mags arnt that bad to have around :P
EDIT: Yes I know a lot of you hate them having stuff on 240's.... and a lot of nubi's come here right after reading how to do the SR and RB and think its soo ez and cheep... But the mags are kinda helpfull if you read them... and then do more research...

I personally use the McKinney engine/tranny mounts along w/ the 1pc. driveshaft. It makes the RB sit nicely in the engine bay. The mounts come w/ urethane bushings so it gives added stability. My only concern was that you have to drill 2 holes in the crossmember for each engine mount. Other than that I recommend using the kit.
