I've been driving the car about 3 weeks now with no major problems. Today changed all that (well, hopefully not)
The car will not go past approx 3000 rpm (varies from gear to gear) and when it gets close to it, it starts sputtering. It's not building boost at all which makes sense. It DOES rev fine out of gear though. I checked all the vacuum hoses and all that looks fine.
Any Ideas?

its a boost leak. check all your intercooler piping. that is the only thing that has caused that problem with mine. it was exactly as you described. i had a cracked coupler from the turbo to the hotpipe.

Well, I just checked all my couplers. Everything seems to be fine. Unfortunately it just started getting dark outside so it was hard to see. I will check agian tommorow morning. Is it possible that my turbo seized up?

check the MAFS, sometimes it will overheat and freak out...

could be MAF, mine did that. Boost leak... factory blow of valve in circulation?

check ALL your wiring. when my car was first finished. it wouldnt rev over 3000, id just lose all throttle response, like hitting a speed limiter, turns out one wire was disconnected at the ECU, hooked it up and all was well

My car revs fine out of gear. I also noticed when ever it does start to sputter it spits out smoke too.
Anyway, I'm gonna check all my piping tonight using one fo these boost leak finder (http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html) things i made. If that doesn't fix it than I'll have to turn my mechanic loose on it and hopefully we can figure it out together.

:D BOOST LEAK! I found a big hole on the ghetto tube that I found and used for the tube that goes to the throttle body (for some reason that was the only one I didn't check earlier) Now I just have to find a 2.75" O.D. pipe and I should be good to go.
Thank guys!
