He is not getting a 'free ride.' It is a joint venture. He is spending his own money as well. He wanted to do this, and the only reason he is able to is because he is already rich and famous enough in the first place. If any other rich and famous person wanted to get into motorsports, they would have no trouble getting backed up. A non-white celebrity/semi-celebrity would most likely have it even easier actually, because everyone is trying to force diversity into everything, thanks to complainers like you.

Honestly I don't see anything wrong with it if thats what he was already into, but to take someone who's not involved in motorsports, and say "Well you're good at snowboarding, lets use your name for drifting too." I have no problem with people being awesome at what they do, but it just seems like all these guys who were never into the drifting are getting these random hookups to get into it. I would assume it just makes it that much more difficult to compete on a grassroots level when any ol celebrity/extreme sports competitor wants to get into something. Next Tom Cruise wants to get into Nascar or some bullshit like that so were gonna teach him.

Well....Shaun White pretty much sucks in my book. Snowboarding is a sport that is entirely built off style.

Yeah hes great at halfpipe, but he is boring as hell. He goes big, he throws shit most other riders cant, but he is entirely a snowboarder that is built for being judged. He is no fun to watch and has zero style.

Exactly why he didnt even qualify for slopestyle at winter X over the weekend. Watch somebody like Halldor Helgason or Torstein Horgmo and you will see what I mean. They throw big tricks, but make shit look cool and are super fun to watch.

Im tired of this "OMG Shaun White did a double cork 1260 and hes the greatest human ever" shit. He will probably be just as boring to watch as a driver.
