Clutch???

Hey guy, I'm on a tight budget, my clutch completely gave out and needing a new clutch asap, but I don't know which one to look for, or where a good place to find some with a good price. Any suggestions would be most helpful. thanks.

Depends on what you mean by a "tight" budget. If it's a KA probably good with a cheap OEM from Napa. If you have an SR20det, and you want a good clutch for little green. Try Tennessee Clutch and Supply. I got a stage 4.5 clutch (Same parts as competition clutch) for $180, so far I've put about 8000 miles on it, and love it. Its a 6-puck 1/2 kevlar 12 ceramic. It was a little chattery at first but after I broke it in, it was fine (that or I learned/got use to how to engage it).

It also weighs about 4-5lbs less than the stock clutch. So that with added with the newly installed 10 lb flywheel I put in made the engine a bit more rev happy...lol,, and STALL happy.

If you do have an SR, you can also specify the pressure plate you want,, I think if you don't ask for a specific pressure, He'll set you up with a 1600lbs pressure plate. I went up to 2100lbs and to tell ya the truth it didn't feel all that much different than stock.

For a performance clutch that will do anything you need it to on the cheap, look at DXD racing clutches.

Cluthmasters sells a OEM replacement for SR and KA for less than $210 if i remember correctly
but dont quote me on that.
