One thing i always look for is quarter panel damage, for some reason it is very common on s-chassis, make sure everything works electronically, and inspect as much wiring as you can, look for signs that it has been messed with(electrical problems are a pita). check under the car for frame damage, even if they say it is a clean title, if the car has been modified try to stay away from it, unless you feel competent in your abilities to fix the mistakes of others. And if/when you get it, don't buy stupid autozone or ebay bullshit:axe: but hope you find a good one and don't turn it into a gay missile car.

So your family has "Always" had STI's since 2004 huh? Ummm cool I guess, you're buying a 240sx and trying to insult me for owning an evo, your off to a good start:cj: and at 17 years old what is it exactly that you are using to "Kill Evos" Xbox, PS3 ?

There is very few bodykits that add anything to the doors, one of the few kits i remember is the gp sports g four aero, which i'm not even sure they still make. But if your first thoughts are bodykits I think you should reorganize your priorities

back to original topic....check compression and check spark plugs for signs of oil burning Carbon build up, make sure its not burning oil in cylinders and no exessive blow by .Buy an automatic ,my own experience people tend not to beat up on them so much, and are often in better condition inside and out .you can always do a manual swap.

I would look for the search button but then again I doubt this question has ever been asked.
I would also look at "buying used cars for idiots", because this is a universal question.
As for issues, if it don't have them now, it will later. If you are mentally retarded or unwilling to learn automotive repair, move along and buy a Focus.
