I get 23-24MPG, I use to get 30mpg (I think) not sure on that though. I heard S14s get around 30MPG..so i think my car needs a tune up.

325-350 miles per tank...
best was 395, that was all highway driving though, and no stops, not even a single stop light to my destination...

driving within the speed limit, combination of city/hwy: 32 mpg

that was 3 years ago.

Now it's 29mpg city and hwy with a dash of spirited driving.

My best was 373 in my '98, but most the time I get 330ish miles to a tank. And that is not conservative driving at all.

My swap will be done on Friday, and I was wondering if anyone who has an SR, knows what the gas mileage is.

My KA24E used to get 15-17 miles to the gallon, but shiet.. it used to shoot fireballs too, so I really didnt complain. :)

My new motor gets.. uhm...

I dunno what my new motor gets, I dont have a damn gauge connected.. so who cares. :)

MorganS13

i get about 23-25 around the city (NOT driving conservative..)

never had the patience to go between fill-ups without a good amount of spirited driving :D

09-15-2003, 09:35 PM
my ka24E got like 20 mpg and it shot fireballs too..
its in its elder years now and is dipping below that. If I stay on the throttle we are talking 16 mpg. Now that sucks. No excuse not to go turbo!

I get 24-25mpg. I first thought this was very high for this car, but seeing all of your responses, it looks pretty normal. I drive 50/50 city/la freeway with a 180,000 mile car.

I always fill around 250 miles, I don't trust the gauge with this old of a car.

yea i shoot fireballs on a regular basis. i cant not shoot fireballs.

conservative driving 75% of the time

Just got an oil/filter change today, drove mostly freeway and got about 100 miles on a quarter tank.

I get about 325 miles on a tank in my 98. I drive on both freeway and street. Fill it with 89 octane.

Well I probably get 15mpg if I drive like a granny. Wide open throttle on the highway...I can watch the gas guage go down.

Gotta love the gas mileage on a Stang.

Wow, I just got 423 on a full tank (granted my gas light was on for 3 days before I coasted into the gas station). I usually get about 390 miles though.

I think the s13 was rated at 21 city, 28 highway new..

best i ever got was 31.?
I did a round trip cross country deal with my 170k+ mile 91 240 (stock KA24DE with K&N panel filter and Apex'i N1 Dual exhaust, no other engine mods, stock timing and 87 octane) and I kept close track of my fuel economy.
I drove ~85mph pretty much the whole way and my fuel economy was usually no less than 27mpg.
I think the most I got out of a tank was 430 miles.

I'm severely impressed with how well my car did, especially for having so many miles and with as hard as I've ragged on it.

Originally I was going to get a 240, but I decided to go with a Mustang instead. I still browse the forums because I still like reading about nice 240's.

i changed your attachment to a jpg. 60KB is alot easier to download & view than 900KB.
In the future try to upload gifs of jpgs. Bitmaps are completely uncompressed and make for bad internetting.

in whatever program you use to open the picture to view it, select "save as" from the "file" (usually top left) drop down menu...then you can select which type of file you would like to save it as...select .gif or .jpg for the lowest size and still decent quality..:)

Well there you go, that is the answer right there -- never let your girlfriend drive.

Seriously, I'm such a pig.. I never let a girl drive while Im in the car.. most of the girls I know like to sit in traffic, and that my friends, is NOT my cup of tea. I dont do traffic.

Yeah, well, that was 7 autocrosses ago, so they don't look like that now!

Suprisingly, I get 25-30 mpg with my SR. Better gas mileage than my KA. Mostly stock, just intake, exhaust, walbro, actuator set to .7 bar, test pipe.

worn azenis are teh s3x. mostly because you almost never see them on a car that doesn't autocross, and autocross is bliss.

my gas mileage depends on boost: low boost (6psi) my best was about 25 MPG. Right now I'm lucky when I hit 20 (running 10psi). Curse my car and its inability to not go above the 0 VAC mark.

It should be better when I get the chance to lean it out a bit on the dyno.

WTF?? when i had my fastback, i only got like 15 miles to the gallon!

but then again, i do some crazy driving

my convertible gets like 12mpgs, its too slow for me, thus not letting me let it shift at lower than 4.5KRPM's

****in 4 speed automatic pisses me off

hurry with my CA18DET and my SPRINGS/SHOCKS!

on average i get about 400 miles
i drive mostly conservative 65% city / 35% hwy... don't want to get any more speeding tickets :bash:

I get better gas mileage with my SR then I did with the KA. I just don't understand. lol I guess that my KA was just running extremely rich.

Surf Ninja
10-14-2003, 10:30 AM
work like a 30 min drive up the hwy...so i usually get like 375 or so to a fill up

DJ Machine
10-14-2003, 01:33 PM
i got about 24mpg with the KA, i get about 20-21 with the SR

Vatche
10-14-2003, 01:42 PM
i get the exact same gas mileage with my sr that i got with my ka....17mpg if i drive "spirited" and like 21mpg at conservative.....about 250 to the tank

Sanchi
10-14-2003, 01:43 PM
I think my AC kills my MPG. You guys think changeing my gas filter will help some its stock and i got what 120k miles on the car?? Anyone know if its time consuming to do??

azn_romeox
10-14-2003, 04:50 PM
I get about 220 miles per tank. Usually A Combo of 70% city 30% highway

Yes you heard right. I drive very slowly most of the time because I can't afford paying for the gas that it uses up.
It runs horribly too after a rebuild.

So I get about 14 MPG!!!!!!!!!!!

prInce
10-14-2003, 09:36 PM
yeah sanchi, changin the filter might effect your mpg (make it better ie). a/c definitely drains a LOT of gas. I never turn my a/c on... well, unless we get Miami kinda weather down here in Toronto (once in a blue moon), I never use a/c.

If im lucky i get about 400 to 450 KM on one tank of gas. Jdm gauge cluster is fun, makes me smart doing math all the time. I noticed though that the first 1/4 of a tank is really slow to start moving down, and then once it does it drops fast. The firealls and smell of unburt fuel keep tailgaters away :fart:

fuel level sender might be wacked up a bit from aggressive driving.

nismobeast
10-16-2003, 10:47 PM
More than likely its the fuel sender due to agressive installing. I just dont care. I got the one from my other 240 though, ill try that one.
