Hey guys, I was remembering back in the day we put a cold air intake on my friends mustang. It put the filter inside the fender, not down low like in the front bumper or anything but up high so no water or road debris will get at it. Has anyone ever done this on a SR s13? I might give it a shot on mine I have to take a look at how much free space there is inside the hood to access that area.

there isn't enough room to fit one in the location your talking about imo.

It's been done. I'm sure if you search you'll find examples. It goes where a side mount intercooler would mount.

how would a cold air intake tube help much on a turbo since the air is going to heat back up once the turbo spools it out? i have mine ducted but i couldnt really tell a difference from my previous setup

Yea I guess with a good front mount it really dosent matter now that you mention it.

Might be beneficial on NA power, don't see the point with a turbo'd car.

Yeah I didn't even read where he said the car was turbo. I assumed it had to be a ka.
Dont waste your time doing this on a turbo car with an efficient intercooler
