HI again!

My GF that's in the Supra community often read about water injection kit for their high powered cars. Of course, I went and checked on ebay to learn a little more about it but we all know that 90% of the time, ebay is full of sh*t! I was wondering if any of you had any experience with water injection kits. What are the pros/cons and if it really works.

I'm more interested in this for the EGT cooling than for the power gains.

Yep aquamist system works well... Also look at propane injection while you are at it. I know of a few 700+ rwhp Supras running them and they effectively raise the octane... cleaner burning for tree huggers... as well as going from liquid -> gas it absorbs some heat and cools the intake temp. Both work very similarly, allowing you to run higher boost safely.

I've read up... Propane/methanol injection also damages piston rings... So basically, it causes wear to the engine i would not like to have.

If you use water inj. then you keep your pistons spring fresh through steam cleaning!:D Water inj. has it's pros and cons just like any other thing. It will lower intake temp. but it will also absorb some power being made by absorbing heat in the combustion process. On turbo'd cars this is actually not that bad since the detonation prevention and the ability to cool the already compressed air and stuff outway the little power loss(and I do mean little) from absorbing the heat. Other than that I know nothing else about it. LOL. Look into that SCC article. Call up the company that makes the aquamist system. Ask them if they know any shops doing installs with them, then contact the shop and ask them about their exp. If you're willing to go to all that work, post what you find!:D I'll try to look more into it.
