hey guys, just wondering that you thought of my heater core lines being blocked off like this. is this properly done? I heard that if you route it back to itself you will be flowing hot coolant back into the motor without going through the rad. it seems like it would be ok though as it is still flowing through the idle control valve and throttle body. any help would be great thanks

It is fine to cap the ends as there is a valve that closes on the heater core when you have the mixture lever set to cold. Coolant only flows through the heater core when it is set to heat and the valve opens.
