Looking good! is that the original color for the zenkis? if so i got that blue too, but yours look a lot darker so i guess its custom. The only thing that i dont like is the rims. I got a auto but hopefully it'll be gone!

umm..i dont think mrmephistopheles ever mentioned anything about swapping engines. i think wat he means is

this guy has a nice body kit all painted..with the wing, an exhaust lowered with poor offset wheels and a plate that says "240 8 u" and when u lookin the engine bay, he has the lowest trim KA available for the 240. in other words, nothing to back up his car and the plate especially cuz the only thing his 240 will be eatting is either a civic or exhaust fumes from the car ahead of him.

so all in all. if ur gonna look flashy like that and have a plate like that. have some real performance to back it up not some apexi filter [probably ebay] exhaust and painted valve cover

purple? that aint no purple. its a factory color for the zenkies. its deep metallic blue. the motor is an ka24e... and an auto. but, i have the hook-up on getting an sr20det, but i'm thinking about getting a z31 turbo.(just to have another car) i'm glad you guys like it. the pics are kind of darker than it really is. thanks again.

its called bite my ass silvia driver. if you had any since, that "ebay filter" is actually an HKS megaflow filter. and the performance wise, i'm getting a 5spd swap, and probably some head work as well as a cam from pdm. and as for the flashy comment, its a clean look with a jdm spoiler. i have beaten civics and integras... the only thing people have around here. silvia driver lets see pics of your car... maybe your car isn't as good as you think.

i hate kouki spoilers on cars without one of the following:

kouki bumper
kouki taillights

but to me a kouki spoiler on kouki taillights w/ USDM bumper looks like crap too.

the "nismo" style body kit is ugly

and i dont like the wheels

but on a brighter note, the paint looks to be in great shape, nice to see all body parts 1 color and i hope you can get that 5 speed swap in soon, that's really great! you shoudl swap in DOHC at 5 speed swap time too, get some power and possibly a lower mileage engine!

INDEED! That's what I'm about to do. I've got a long commute now, and the 250k isn't gonna work.

well, i guess that everyone doesn't see things the way i do. i like my car alot... i honestly don't like my bumper... nor my motor for that fact. by the way, i'm only 17, and what you see on my car... or in my garage for that matter, i have paid for it all. so, yes if i had a real full time job as a career, i could have a sr20det, and all the kouki bumpers, sideskirts, and taillights. but i don't so i'm not. on the rating, don't be so harsh due to the fact i'm not rich, only 17, and i'm remember i'm not driving a honda.

But it is! I mean.. I've had to swap the engine in Lisa's car from an E to a DE, and I've had to swap my DE out like 16 times!
You have to swap engines if you wanna be a real 240 enthusiast.
Even if it's to a higher mile or older motor.
You just can't keep the same motor in your 240.

It's cool that you've paid for all that yourself, etc, etc. Unfortunately, that's not going to get you any respect here. Most everybody here pays for everything themselves..

Personally, I think that there are more important things to focus on at age 17 than cars. Not to knock you for what you're doing, but spending more time saving money and getting a good education now will only let you do more and spend more later.

Not that I did that, but in restrospect, I wish I had.

Just an idea.

rice and non-rice is a fine line. its hard to understand, but you have to ask yourself, why are you even thinking about putting in a sr20det? are you telling me you've already taken your 240sx to the limits of its control, acceleration and handling? you've really learned everything there is to learn about driving the car in its current state?

whats the point of asking silviadriver to post pics of his car. who cares if his car has more mods, has more hp, or whatnot. mods for the sake of saying you've done mods is rice. mods for the sake of improving your driving are not. the mods that you have done already tell me what is important to you when it comes to your car.

it's not necessarily a bad thing that you want your car to look good before it drives good...it's your perogative..i happen to be quite the opposite...but it doesn't mean i am better then you...even if i am..;)..lol

that's the most stupid thing i've heard in this forum, there is nothing wrong with a ka24e, you can get quite some performance from the engine when built right. a real 240 enthusiast- who cares? we're car enthusiast, we will move up to better cars someday.

well, i apologize to all about spazzing up. and dousan, about the bandwagon hoo hah, i've had my car going on 4 years... i really was posting to update from where it was stock, then rear-ended, when i got my n1s, and then afer i got it back from the paint shop. no, its not a car from a d1 drift circut, but i think it fits me. and yes, i do find a lack in my performance... but i can't cure that on an empty budget. i've done as much as i could with the money that i had over time. and about the honda smack, it can be called for, most hondas you see are covered in APC, LID windshield washer nozzels, and whot-not. its rare that you see a civic with a b16 outfitted with mugen parts. well it is rare in my area. i knew i would get mixed opinons, but i wouldn't think i'd get flammed for not having a sr or such. i honestly didn't think someone would have said that i was behind on performance mods. i don't prefer looks over performance, its just that way because i'm broke. the only reason i have the body kit and new paint is because of an insurance settlement. as for the type x spoiler, i wanted some jdm touch. if anybody wants to "lend" me some money for an sr or a dohc and tranny swap, sure i'll take it. ;)

Most Hondas I see are stock. Rims and clear corners at most. As far as APC, altezzas, etc, I don't pay attention to them.

Well man, i cant say much to you Nismo240SX, im 17 too, and my 89 is stock to the bone. I know wat you mean to not have the money but dont expect everyone to be nice to you cuz you spent wat you had on looks especially when most of the ppl here are about performance. Oh yea, also with a budget, its always priorities, and if you think your kit and everything was more important then a 5spd or w/e den hey, dont expect too many ppl to like dat too.

As for Hondas, they kick ass.. i owned a 91 integra, w/the whole jdm bling, my friend had a b16 w/a turbo in there.. another one has an h22 in his del sol, so yea.. dont diss on the brand its the drivers that make it bad.

OK, this is the first time I have been able to see those pictures rather than the lovle red X, so ill give my two cents.

I like the car, it looks pretty nice. The kouki wing doesn't really fit, I think a totally clean (as in no spoiler or wing) hatch looks the best. And that color, omg, first time I think i have ever seen it, wow, extremely hot. Nice job with the paint too, whoever did it.:boink:
