Spent a long day in Tampa with Scott and Mattback and the rest of the guys at Secret Services working on my coupe. Baseline was 226rwhp at roughly 9.5psi thanks to my greddy vaccuum T ghetto boost controller.
My baseline setup was:
S13 SR20DET, Greddy FMIC, 3" DP, Testpipe, and exhaust, Tubular equal lenght manifold, T25 with slightly larger compressor wheel.
We started by installing HKS 264 step 1 cams and re-dynoing. That run was 235rwhp. Scott said that the stock ecu is not really mapped correctly for those cams. Next step was installing Tomei 740cc injectors and a Z32 MAFS, then retuning the ECU. We lowered the boost to stock 7psi and made 231rwhp. Installed an Apex AVCR to adjust the boost level correctly and turned it to 1 bar to achieve the 275rwhp. The boost bleeds off to about 11psi due to the tiny turbine but the car woke up considerably. Yesterday I discovered the speed cut at 117mph on the way to Gainesville for a track/drift event, today after tuning ecu and removing the speed cut I can tell you that the HUD only reads to 125mph but the car was going way faster! Felt touchy at that speed, can't imagine going over 180 in Scott's red rocket. Anyways, I like it but am still upgrading to the GT25R. I will retune for that turbo hopefully next week and update. Thanks again Secret Services for the tuning, and Enjuku Racing for all of my parts!!!

wow congratulations man. where did you get the "slightly larger compressor wheel" , and does it help alot? also why did you put such large injectors on, was it planning for future power or did you need them with the t25?

The T25 was toast so I took it to a local turbo shop and they machined out the housing and stuck in a larger wheel while rebuilding it. As for the injectors, I was planning on going big turbo at first, bought the injectors, then decided to go smaller like current setup, but have changed mind again.

hmm, my friend claims his HUD went up to 140. I thought he was full of BS.

Thats awsome, how much lag do you have is it more than the stock t-25. Just wondering since Im looking for turbo upgrade options, thanx.

since the turbine side was not touched there is virtually no more lag. I certainly didn't notice anymore at all.

Is his car stick or automatic?

hows the alignment on the car look?

you can make a car have high speed stability with proper alignment.

Impressive numbers. Planning for more I assume?

yeah my alignment is pretty whacked... need to get it somewhere asap. Yeah I am putting on a GT25R this sunday and going to re-dyno looking for closer to 400rwhp.

Where did you take the turbo to get rebuilt? I might need to do that soon.

Dude, if you're in Japan, you could get an S14 turbine for the cost of that T25 and shipping.
