I have a 240sx with a red top sr engine and wasnt sure what radiator i had since the car was purchased with the swap already in place,After looking for numbers on the radiator I found

pat-app-48-86457

This is said to be a sr20de non turbo radiator,Is this radiator more efficiant then the ka one and why would the original owner spend the money on swapping in a non turbo sr radiator in his turbo sr?Is this radiator good enough or do I need to keep boosting to a minimal till I can purchase a sr20det one or duel core aftermarket,Let me know if this rad is ok too useat least as a DD till I get something more suitable,Thank you.

1.post pictures

2. i would recomend buying an aluminum 2 core radiator anyway, and just replace the water pump and thermostat while your at it... prevent problems before they start

you never know what the previous owner did or didnt do

The radiator cores are all the same stock. Single row aluminum. The only difference is in the upper hose connection point.

Should be fine stock DD.

Directly wired fan into acc wire on ignition so when the car is in the "on" position the fan is running, along with inline fuse but it sounds like its taking power from the walbro pump?,Should I wire in a different location or is this a good spot? Also have it on toggle so I can kill the fan while I'm under the hood with the key on,I dont wanna sacrifice power to the pump seems kinda odd?Maybe I'll rewire the pump with some thicker wire or somthin...
