I really want some nice bucket seats, but I am on a budget. So, I have been thinking about getting my seats reupholstered and having them repadded. Has anyone done this? Like putting more padding in the bolster area and making the seat a little more narrow. Just something to hold me in better.

i think the cost of reupholstering your seats will be roughly the same as getting buckets. i would just get buckets, but not being able to recline in your daily driver would be annoying. also, what kind of buckets are you going for? recaro spgs and brides are expensive. im sure you can get a sparco sprint or something for about $200 or so.

Yeah, I want reclinable buckets, but the cheapest I have seen is around $300 a seat. I know I can get my seats reupholstered for $100 a seat. I just don't know about the repadding.
