I am having a problem with me clutch pedal. When ever i go driving for a long time with out shifting like on the freeway , my clutch pedal goes to the floor, and i have to stop and pump the pedal a couple of times before it gets presure again. I am not leaking any fluid because the little container is full. Also it is fine when i drive in the city. What could be causing this.
Thanks Mandoz85

sounds like a bad master clyinder the inner seal can go so it will not hold pressure, you just move the fluid around the piston. replace your master clylinder

yea, probably the mc cylinder like driftfreaq mentioned. i got both a new replacement master cylinder and slave cylinder from kragens for about $60, but i had a 20% off coupon. might as well get a new slave too since its so cheap.

Why would this only happen when i dont shift for long periods of time. It works fine if i am in stop and go traffic. If the mc was bad wouldn't the pedal always be on floor.
Thanks

Not that Im in the business of bringing back old threads...:D ...but,
I replaced my slave cylinder about a month ago because it was busted since then, on two different occassions, I have had the same "freeway" symptoms as Mandoz.
When I drive in the city the clutch is fine.
Should I go replace ONLY the MC? Or will I need to get yet another slave cyl to avoid problems?
Thanks!

I would just do the mc and the slave since they are cheap and very easy to do. This way you only need to bleed the system once.

I will do the MC, bleed lines and remove Clutch Box (or dampner). However, my real is question is, Since I just replaced the Slave Cyl last month, do I have to replace it again???
Im leaning towards "No"...
What do you folks think?

My pedal does about the same thing. I have to pop it back off the floor with my toe while I'm driving. I might just have to finally fix this problem.:D
