JDM 180SX had popups just like the 240 here. Those are all aftermarket headlights, East Bear, Veilside, etc.

I think it was 89 to 90 (in japan) they had those lights, then they went to pop up.
http://www.takakaira.com/aerokits/abflug/180sx_f.jpg also they sell the lights for 1000$ at takakaira

180SX had them for a year or 2 kind like how we had the SOHC for 2 years, I like s15 style myself, unless its no a spriter, then i go pop ups
LOL, Dave, I thought It was a mini-z32 already...this would just complete the package <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> well cept for the engine. My vote is still for the sil-eighty, but even though those light run for $600+ they would still be cheaper than haveing your fenders cut and all that stuff. Any idea on what front bumber you'll get? same one you had, or something else?

so originally the 180sx came with the flat lights?
any pics of a stock 180 with these lights?
thanks!
My friend says those look like either Tech Sports or B wave conversions. Who told you guys that they came stock that way, or where'd you get your info?

On takakaira every kit with those lights says 89-90 and all the kits with pop up lights say 91+, and i read it somwhere
Not to waste more time on this topic but my friend lived in Fukuoka till he moved here 2 years ago and never saw 180 stock with those headlights. If you follow the Takakaira website, the Bomex kits start 89 and have popups too. I'd like to think that the had non popups avail as stock, but I dont think they ever did. Agree to Disagree I guess...

Coastek 240:
1st pic (purple car)- 99% sure it's made by B-Wave, except the guy didn't use the glass cover that the kit comes w/.
2nd pic (red) - REI Spirit lights
3rd pic (green) - AB Flug Grim headlight kit
4th pic (Veilside car) - hard to make out the light... looks like the ones on the red 180.
wherezmytofu - the 180 in that pic has the B-Wave kit w/ the cover over the lights.
Oni - those are the AB Flug lights
the 89-90 180sx, 200sx (Europe, UK, etc...), and 240sx all had the same nostrilled front bumper and pop-up headlights. the 91-94 240sx and the 91-96 180sx were also similar (as far as body style goes). and of course the 96.5-98 180's front bumper was completely redone and the Type-X package now came w/ the full blown factory body kit and wing.
oh and the 180sx never came w/ flat, non-pop up headlights direct from the factory.

The 180sx NEVER came with flat headlights. That is a myth. Everything in those pics are aftermarket headlight conversions.
The AB Flug are Amazing.

Unfortunately they stopped makeing them a couple years ago, so they are next to impossible to find, and If you do they are like a couple grand.

Wasn't someone selling the Eastbear conversion lights like these in the group buy's forum? I think www.autoimaging.com can get some 180SX conversion headlights...and yeah...180SX's did NOT come with headlights that looked anything like that...All pop ups...

If anyone emails AB Flug to inquire about overseas purchases, please post the reply here.
