I need to reset my drive cycles in order to past smog. I did some reading and most people said just drive it and it will soon reset. I also read that 96 models are the only one that must be brought to the dealer and only a "master mechanic" can fix. This is for the 96 models only. I'm at around 150 miles freeway and stop and go miles.

Im not sure what youre talking about, but you definitely dont have to take you car to a mechanic to reset your readiness monitors. For me, a drive cycle is usually complete after driving about 40 miles of mixed highway and city driving. If you take it in for smog and ask them to check if the readiness monitors set before starting the test, they will usually do it.

I swear I have posted how to set all the SRT codes before.
Should be over 14* outside, Preferably above 32*.
Start car and idle till car gets up to temp (>158*).
Get on the highway and cruse at 55-60mph for 10mins. When you get on the highway accelerate to 60 then let off the pedal and count to 10 then acell up to 60 again and cruse.
Drive around town(stop and go) 0 to 30-35 to 0. Should take about 10mins. should stop and go around 5 times.
Back on the highway(55-60mph) for 5min.
Drive normally / granny.
Upshift:
1st-2nd 15mph
2nd-3rd 25mph
3rd-4th 35mph
4th-5th 40mph
With a consult you can manually set some of these faster. Repeat the drive above till all the SRT's set.
If you have a problem with one of them not setting. Post which one and I can tell you how to get it to set.

Batt is new and good. Smog tech told me to drive it to reset the readiness monitors, because the car was dead for 3 month. Cat and 02 sensors i believe and I'm not throwing any codes. I'll try S14DB,s advice, but I wont be able to do it till next week end.
I have been using the torque app to see if my Drive cycle readiness have reset and I show the same as the smog tech.

My EGR code not setting after more than 2500 miles. Have tried the book process as you described except not using 5th gear generally. Could this make the difference?
