I was wondering where I could get a KA to SR wiring harness adaptor. I saw in a Super Street Mag. where a guy swaped his Ka for an SR and used a Ka to SR wiring harness. If anyone know what I am talking about and knows where I can get this please let me know. Thanks alot.

if i'm thinking about the same write up; you got it backwords. he moded the stock sr20 harness.
if this is an s13 motor going into an s13 chassis then this is easy. might take you like 1-2 hours if this is your first harnes.

basicly just make all the connectors longer. you need the power steering connector off the old ka harness. also need the ka dash harnes.

god luck.

Talk to the good folks over at Unstable-Hybrids. They'll hook you up. I'm paying $100.00 for my ca18 conversion.

if im not mistaken i saw in super street (omg yes super street) that the yashio factory 240sx, usdm that they found in japan was fitted with their own KA to SR harness. maybe i just read it wrong? anyway i dont think it has been released as a product.

anyway it just save money to just do it yourself. but if you cannot there are a lot of places that will take your KA uncut and SR uncut harnesses and fabricate it for you for some money.

The yahsio factory 240sx has a KA to SR harness adapter but as far as I know it hasn't been relesed as a product yet. A number of places offer rewiring services for your SR harness so it will work w/ the rest of teh KA wiring, but the cheapest place to have it done is ebay. There's a guy that'll do a complete rewire for $90 plus S&H. He's rewiring mine right now cause I don't have the time nor the patience to rewire it myself. I should get mine back befor eteh end of the week(he sent it out on friday). I'll let you know how good of job he did, but he seemed reputible.

if this is for an s13 motor to s13 chassis; i would tell you guys to do it your self. save the 100!.
if you can install a head unit you can do this!

you need about 8 feet of sheilded wire and the rest is just regular wire. get some heat shrink and electric tape.

basiclly just make the o2 sensor, power seering(use the KA sensor plug),MAF,ignitor longer. use the sheilded wire for the MAF and o2.

on the other side(passenger) you will have the a/c wire. if you don't have a/c just cut it off and tape up the connection.

then you have the brwon and gray connector by the battery. i forgot exactly how to do this. papers are in the garage. anyways you connect the 2 brwon wires(sr harness) into the inner pin and plug it right into the KA brown harness(body side. this way you leave the ka harness stock incase you need to swap it out later. i think there is something else on the gray clip...
check out the FAQ on this forum. it will help you alot.!

if you are in S cali i can help. i'm not an expert or anything

You don't need to extend teh ignitor chip wire, just mount the chip on the RH side of the car instead of the the left.
