sweet. Here's my XR600R. Havn't ridden in quite a while. Need to redo the head on this thing, it seeps oil out. I've been riding for a long time MX/Streetbikes/motards and motards are by far the funnest things on two wheels. Sidewalks, staircases, ditches, they are all game. And you no longer have to worry about outrunning cops like you would on a street bike, just go into a parking lot, hop a few curbs and ditches, and ride off into the night. :keke:

but i still crave speed on my 636 somtimes
but drz400sm takes the cake as all time fav bike
both will skeet well from the boys tho

DRZ400's are heavy; and gutless...at least to me.
not to say they aren't fun. when you've ridden more
you just want more.

Depends on what kind you buy. Some come that way and others have to be converted from full time dirt.
My buddy had an sxv 650 and I loved to ride that thing.

sick wr man, idk i rode a few wrs and was not to impressed. had to beat the motor to get any power out of it, not saying they arent great bikes but just not for me. Drz will be getting a full system and 440 big bore soon along with lots of head work and a +5 stroke. should be fun chasing some squids

my bike was a duel sport when i got it, about 1100 or so later i have a bad ass supermoto. To convert you'll need the following
17inch wheel set
320mm brake (optional but makes a huge diff)
thats about it

wheels/tires and lights/speedo for a dirt bike. but if you buy a motard its like that already or dual sport you just get street tires.

There are few things as fun as a powerful dirt bike on the street.
So much fun it should be illegal...
wait.

Yeah if you plan on using it on the street then buying a motard is the way to go. Converting one will be a big pain for street use.
Track then converting is good.

yeah nice WR oilcover. I bet inside that parking garage all kinda of car alarms were going off haha.
Josiah, it runs about $1500 plus to convert a dirtbike for street use. I lucked out and found this one already done. One thing i dislike about them is they are absolutely NO FUN on the highway on straight roads.
Check out Supermoto Conversion Kits at motostrano.com Supermoto Experts (http://www.motostrano.com/sucoki.html) for giggles, they have some nice stuff packaged up ready to go.
I wish I would have kept the old '86 CR500 I had back in the day. Ive seen supermoto conversions on those and all i can say is daaaamn. Nothing like blasting through traffic on a 2-stroke raising hell with double the horsepower haha. Don't know if you California boys could do that though.

Only if you find one that was converted before some date. I've seen one or two on craigslist, I'd love to see one pop up when I'm in a position to spend some money.

duel purpose bikes run the same size rims as a dirt bike so the tire selection sucks. you really should get 17inch wheels all around so you can run any sport bike tires out there. the 320mm makes a huge diff.
