Hey guys Im thinking about starting a Wednesday night meet in the SDSU area or around here. Im trying to gauge interest see if anyone would be down for this. If people are interested I will start looking for locations.
Thanks
Let me know if Wednesday works or what days and times people are thinking
or you can drive down a little north, and go to the mira mesa meet. a couple people from la mesa/el cajon come up.

or drive a little south and go to the southbay meet in chula... for now it seems "dead" but its because most of the people started going to the Mira Mesa Meet. Just post a few days before the meet in the correct thread and people will know your going and show up. SD isnt large enough to need 3 meets.

Or we can just have a central one off the 8 like at Mission Valley mall and have people from both sides show up. That way, not one meet is dead, you know? And if it wasn't going on so late people would probably still be in the mood to meet up. Those late meets usually bust cuz people need to wake up early the next day.
Also, some organization would be useful instead of just having people meet up and just have everyone acting odd and having cliques hook up and kinda just leave others out.
I'm not saying, but I'm just saying.
the meets in mira mesa are not late. I would be there by 8-8:30, but I have work until 10pm now. I pass by to see if anyone is standing there, if not, i just drive home.

You probably haven't been to either meets have you? And if you have, my apologies...but anyone that shows up, we introduce ourselves to. Nobody gets turned away or given the cold shoulder. Why have a meet if people act akward and chill in cliques ? It defeats the purpose of a meet, we like to meet new people and share ideas or parts and what not. There really is no need for organization since we are all open to new 240 owners coming and hanging out...
And nobody likes change, the Mira Mesa meet works out great for the Escondido, Oceanside and Temecula guys and the south bay/chula guys as well and even the east county guys as its close to the 52. By all means, if you wanna try it out cool, see how it works out, but having another meet will just separate people into more cliques. lol im not against it, even i live 5 minutes from SDSU btw.
EDIT: Even i hate the late meeting times but i encourage people to show up early, thats why im almost always there at 7~7:30pm
Tell you truth, I was impressed when I first moved to san diego. I was shocked on how you guys introduce yourselves to new comers. I felt welcomed n shit. When I was in norcal, it was more like hey wassup.
But like I have posted in the San Diego Meet, This tuesday is already a heads up. I won't be there until after 10pm because of work so yea.

Nah, you're right, I haven't been to either. I had gone to a couple of the Fusion meets tho and they were pretty weak. Sort of got turned off, you know? But hey, we'll see whats up on this next meet then.

Agreed. I just showed up to the meets when they were at sunbow and everyone was really cool and introduced them selves. Everyone is friendly at the MIra and Chula meets i've been too.
