Hello,
Im trying to decide which one to go with since my gt3076 started to die(actually its pretty much dead).
This is the mods that I have right now
AEM ECU Speed density w/3 Bar Map
Wide band O2
GT3076(dead now)
Greddy manifold
CP pistons (86.5 mm)
eagle rods
Ferrea valve springs
HKS 263 intake cam
Weldon 600A fuel pump
Greddy type R BOV
96 lb injectors
Tial 44mm wastegate
Large FMIC
This motor was just rebuild with new
I would like to get over 500 whp and still have decent spool, from what Im reading around people prefer GTX3076 but I would like to hear some more opinions.
Thanks!

i would say do the gtx3076 series and get the tial turbine housing (since you have to buy the turbine housing seperate anyways) i think that would be a good combo
i actually am sending money out next week for the gtx3582 with a tial housing...thats why im suggesting it haha

I guess i should had specify few things better. I know what the difference is between gt3071 and 76...after all i have the 3071.
I'm really interested to see whats the spool difference between GTX 71 and 76, I looked but I couldn't find any info or dyno sheets from either of those.

finally decided to go with 71.
Out with old(gt3082 - it was leaking a little bit)

that oil feed looks huge. make sure you use a restrictor.
unless I am mistaking for a water line in a weird spot
also, is your throttle cable stainless steel braided? More info if its custom!

A lot of things are moved around, this is in 260z so few things had to be moved around to accommodate different chassis.
Throttle cable just go inside that line.

can you give some info on the difference between your old turbo and this GTX you have i would like to know cause that new turbo you have is very new and i would like some feedbacks. the only thing i know that it has a 10% more airflow and 15-20% better spool. i would like to know your comparison on both turbos base on your experience
A GTX3071R will probably never make 500 rwhp, so that marks that one off.

It will me over 500HP. That is what I am running on the BOSO S15.

What?
You saying a GTX3071R made over 500 rwhp on an SR20?
What boost was that run at? I'm assuming race gas due to it probably being close to choking and therefore very poor compressor efficiency.

I cant really say much about how it feels just yet. Feels stronger than 3082 with better spool.
It should make over 500 whp easily, probably closer to 550.
Just going to do basic street tune until spring.

People made 450rwhp with the older gt3071 and it's supposedly rated at 460 (bhp i'm guessing).I don't see how it would be a problem with the newer gtx3071.

BOSO S15 is 2.3L+ in displacement and pretty much fully built.
Making 500hp on a 2L SR is possible too but would probably be at max spool on race gas or insane timing.

Racetune seems to have some magical cars out of his shop, trust me when I say he and I have had our discussions in the past.
O/P FWIW: You wanna make 400 whp, 2871r You wanna make 450? Ya gotta build it anyway, may as well throw a 35r on it, and really make some power. 35r isn't that much laggier than a 3076, so take the power advantage.

Uh oh...when running or during install
Hopefully we don't bring up the old Vasallo 'smack a bench vise' thread ;)

the day after turbo install, which had nothing to do with cams....
I can't figure it out why it happened. Already ordered crower 264/264.

Having cams break is commoon when not following FSM instllation. SR valvetrain sucks!

yeah.
Got the car tuned on dyno dynamics,I used my old hot side from gt3082 and it was too small so only got it tuned at 20 psi. 400whp on dyno dynamics and 447 on dynojet, once bigger hotside is here I should be able to get it up to 27-28ish psi.

Those #'s are pretty low for being aa GTX3071 and from what you have done should be higher. I've got a buddy with old style 3071 that made 450hp @26lbss of boost. Are you running 91 octaine or e85?

450ish on dynojet and 20 psi is pretty good I think, at 26 it would be over 500. Its on 93 oct.

how fast the gtx3071 spools? I'm considering getting one for my build and dont know how bad is the lag. feedback is apreciated. I currently have a jdm sports gt3076 and really dont wanna risk my build with this turbo. dyno sheet??

Supposedly, they spool up about 500 rpm faster. Regular 3071s would be spooling about 4200-4500 rpm.
