Well this started to happen a acouple weeks ago when i drove home for the holidays(Ohio to New York). As soon as i got into Ny it started to break up. So i push the clutch in and gave it a few revs and it wouldnt go over 3k. So finally it cleared up and drove fine. The whole time i was in Ny it drove fine. So after the holidays i started my drive back to ohio and it drove pretty good until i got to the Ohio border. Once i drove into ohio it started to break up abuot every 5-10miles. So today i changed the plugs and its still breaking up. Would the fuel filter be the cause? coilpacks?injectors? Anybody please help. Thanks

ThanksUsually when it breaks up and wont rev after 3000rpm its a MAF issue ,start with that first, check wiring .

But if it was the mafs then it wouldnt let me go over 3k all the time. correct?

yes , bad MaF or Maf wiring makes ecu go into fail safe (limp home )mode and wont rev past 3000rpm.

loose wiring ,bad connection @ your MAF , causing intermittent prob. Acts up prob when you hit a bump or rough roads( wires vibrating). Goes away on nice flat tarmac.

Definitely sounds like the MAF. Could also just be really dirty. You can pick up some MAF cleaner at Advance and see if that helps. It shouldn't be the fuel filter or anything like that because it would just break up, not prevent it from going over 3000 RPM.
