I was wondering if anyone has been to this school out in Georgia and have token the motor sports vehicle technology class? I heard it was a really good program in getting people into becoming pro race cars drivers and mechanics but IDK I def would like a second opinion, what do you guys think?
any input would be nice

Motorsports is a tiny industry. Its all about who you know. With that said, if that program has close ties with a specific race team or shop, then that can be a ticket in. I see there are credits for internships. If they can place you in an internship where your working on a Cup car like they claim then that certainly is worth it.
Are you in CA or GA?

I took the ACR program at Lanier. The MVT program works with Panos (because it's local) It's pretty hands on program. One of the better one's locally for GA. Other option would be UTI.

Would it be worth moving from cali just to do the mvt program?
Ive thought about uti but ive talked to a few people who did the whole program that just said it was a waste of time and money, plus uti is for like performance mechanics, i wanna be a pro mechanic and driver and i really see lanier tech helping me out with that since their so hooked up!

I am currently registering to take it this Fall. I live in GA, so I will be able to get the HOPE grant, so I am pretty set that is where I am going. I have only heard good things about it. Have you found out any more info?

pro race cars drivers and mechanics
About the same thing as you. I like building, and driving, my own cars.
It would also be really cool to work somewhere like Mazworx or even Hennessey Performance.
