Very reliable 1977 Datsun 280z if you were to use it as a daily driver.
-5spd Manual
-176k original miles on the LE28E. All stock except for a cone filter installed. Fuel injected, not carb'd
-Newer paintjob
-Smogged and registered until November of 2011
-All records and papers since bought from the showroom.
-New speakers installed and amp. Old ones died out long ago. Still has factory radio.
-New rotors and drums.
-New radiator. New hoses.
-Automatic door locks
I have taken great care of this car since I bought it. It looks really great for it's age and it's a real head turner. It gets compliments on the road all the time. The first owner was an older gentleman that bought it from the showroom back in 1977 and later sold it to a couple in 1978. The couple then sold it to years later to a lady, I don't remember when but its all in the paper work and records of the car that I have in my possession. That lady kept the Z in storage for most of the time she owned it. *have paper work for proof of storage* Finally, it was sold to an older lady here in San Diego who purchased it, pulled it out of storage, and brought it back to date. She had then let the Z sit for a while before I got to it. I then did the same and brought it back to date and has been running like a champ since. An amazing car but I need something more practical than a two seater. Married, so we need something bigger for our dogs and whatever other chores. I'm really looking for a good owner to take care of it since its all original for the most part.

That maybe be true to you because you may be closed-minded and only believe females are only capable of putting on make up and walking around with little rat like dogs in pointless and expensive bags. The average female would obviously not buy a vehicle like this. This car is 33 years too old for your typical Parris Hilton model.
*that means anything older than 2011 is not good enough for them hunny*
Anyways, this car is my baby and has been baby'd but things have come up. My husband and I have sacrificed some things to have a more practical life, which sucks for now, but we know it'll turn out for the best with time.
By the way...
... I'm a helicopter mechanic. So I'm pretty sure I can, and have, handled my simple single cam in-line six with ease. I'm not saying, but I'm just saying. ;)

Have you tired Hybrid z community ? might be better but when the market started to take a piss in 05 with Classic Z cars and other Japanese cars, its a very hard market to find the right buyer for these cars even though its been well cared for as you described.
the Z's that seem to be the most desirable ones but there is no market or serious customers :
very 1st 240z with California Black and yellow plates, these are the very earliest ones - up too 73 and if it were that year would have to have the orginial plates/ AC / original hubcaps and 100% stock.
other ones that were not sold here
Nissan Comp - S30 Z with the LY SOHC cross flow head - 30 of those were made
OS Giken wasn't a factory car but everyone would like to have that engine with a 2.8 bottom end.
S130's 10'th anniversary Turbo 2 seat version with all options , only a few left and comes with a Factory LSD to boot.
Z31 50th anniversary Z VG30ET
Z31 200ZX-R not sold in the USA VG20ET
Z31 200ZX-R not sold in the USA RB20DET NICCS.
As for your car if it got the bumper swap and a nice set of rims to boot + suspension work and was a different color it would sell very quickly but in these times just have to hunt for the right buyers, I'd really spend the money on getting it fully detailed and polished up and post it for sale on a high end forum as well ebay and auto trader and also hemmings motor news. If you don't take the time to detail it and get the proper photos for it to get it sold, it will just sit and the pool of annoying tire kickers will just burn you out until you give it away to them, so don't let it happen.
good luck with the sale.

Any rust on the frame rails, floor pan and rear hatch? Do you have any pics of the frame rail and floor pan? Also do you know if this Z had any body work? Thanks

^ Awesome
But anyway, racer98 is mostly right. The market for these cars isn't great. Your best bet would definitely be HybridZ and eBay. If your documentation of the car is extensive (IE it's whole life or damn near it) then SMART people will realize that this is a good buy. 280Zs are not very sought after though, as they're heavier than their older brothers. But they do have a stiffer chassis.
I don't think you can expect to get your full asking price, but I wouldn't take much less than 3k either. If it has rust... best of luck to you.
Bump for a Zeeeeeeee
