The reason im asking is i saw this ad on the sunday paper and it has a paint service for only $369.95, well its a coupon. The orignal price is $718.95. My car could use a paint job, should i go for it or not.Help me out soon because this coupon doesnt last that long.

its best IF IF IF
you
do all the prep work and have it all taped up and ready to spray
if you let them do the spray (not the prep) it will look great
its the prep work thats VERY important and most time consuming

$400 isn't going to get you much anywhere you go. I recommend you spend more if you want something thats going to last. For example my dad painted a car for a family friend 4 years ago. The guy payed $400 for just primer, paint, and clear alone.

Its NOT just about the preparation, dont think its that easy. You can do all the prep work, but what about the person shooting it? How many layers are they going to do, and how thick are the layers going to be? The more thin layers, the better. Gee...
More thin layers = more time, more wasted paint = better quality paint job with more attention to detail = MORE MONEY
Less layers, thicker layers, less time, = low buck paint job
So, you be the judge and decide what you want on your car. IMO, good paint jobs cost cash.. thats how it works.

Yes, it does suck nuts.
I am not talking out of my ass either. My car has/used to have a Earl Scheib "paintjob". The reason their paintjobs are **** is because they use **** paint.
Doesnt matter if you do the best prepwork in the world -- it will look like complete ass. They use single-stage nason paint (read: you're ****ed) and if you dont dont do your own prep, they wont do squat unless you get a minnimum of a PRO 3 paintjob (read: you are still ****ed)
Your best bet is to simply do the prepwork yourself, and go to the various Earl Scheib/MAACO places in the area and see if any of them will wetsand and spray with paint that YOU bring them. If so bring them DuPoint Chroma Paint -- that **** is OEM quality (hell its OEM approved) and it can be had for about $200 (enough to repaint the exterior of a vehicle)
Thats my best adivce to you. When it comes to paintjobs, if you want the best result you simply have to bite the bullet and pay a professional shop to do the prep and spray ($$$)
I learned this the hard way. Do not repeat my mistakes!
