ABOUT PEARL TEA:

Pearl tea is a delicious drink
 made with tea, condensed
 milk, and large tapioca balls
 (the pearls).

 Many types of flavorings are
often added to pearl tea, e.g.
 red bean, almond, melon.

Im sick of that crap. I prefer Mango slushies... My girlfriend always gets boba milk tea... though the milk coffee isn't too bad with topioca.

Do they have tea zones where u guys live?

Haha weird, I've never heard people call it bubble tea before. Here we call it either pearl tea or zhen zhu nai cha. (Don't attempt to read that out loud if you can't read Pinyin. ^_^)

"Zhen zhu" is what those "pearls" are called.

Boba (boh-bah) lai cha is how I say it in Cantonese. We've got a few of those places in Nor. Cali.

12-09-2001, 01:28 AM
LOL! I asked my girlfriend (who speaks Cantonese) and she said boba means nads/ovaries.

hey mark...i heard of one place in denver that sells it...sorry, but i don't know the name...i'd say just talk to the local asian population and you are to find someone who knows....as for the flavors to try...my favorite is thai tea...it's an everyone friendly drink...if you want american friendly drinks stick to names that are common....strawberry, green apple and watermelon are popular in san diego (aahhhh....home!)...if you want something a little more asian oriented, try honeydew or taro...i can't recommend taro but a lot of people like it...but honeydew is badass...just remember that this stuff is expensive, that $50 supply will last you about a month...but if you are like me, maybe a couple of weeks....if you are ever in the springs, hit me up...i'll be happy to share some with you...(not a lot though, just some)...peas

sorry for the long post guys...

Most taiwanese knows how to make them. Ask them how to make , I think it is pretty simple.
