On January 1st, 2011 one of my best friends passed away. He wasnt in a freak car accident, he didnt drink, he didnt smoke, he was perfectly healthy. At aproximently 9:10am saturday Idriz "Z" Abdagic colapsed in his shower. He was a great person, someone who would never hurt a fly. He was a member(Idriz) on here as well. As a memorial for him we are finishing up his car on what he started and picking it up where he left off. That morning he woke up early to go and buy an engine jack to pull his RB20 out of his car and get the clutch in and his bigger turbo set up on. We will still pull the motor out and put the clutch in but we will leave the motor stock because his father and mother are KEEPING his car. His boss that he worked for a year ago in a body shop has agreed to repaint his whole car and wheels and fix any rust we can find with also some of our help with the body work. The car will be repainted Black again and he wants his wheels Hyper Lime Green like the color of the black coupe that is on here that we all have seen. As our show of LOVE and RESPECT we are NOT crushing his car, we are finishing it for him just the way he would want it.

Damn. That is very sad news. The first of that kind of news of the new year.

Iam glad that you guys are going to finish the car they way he wanted it. A friend of mine passed a few years ago, and we wanted to do the same but his parents sold it.
So good for you on that, I am very sorry for your loss, and if he was that kind of person, I think that it is definatly a shame because the forum and the world could use more people like that.

I do not mean any disrespect but do you know the cause of his death? Or will you? Because just dropping dead for no reason is kinda scary.

Take care, and keep this thread posted with the progress of the car. R.I.P

The main reason why he passed is still unknown as of right now all we know is that he collapsed in the shower...Never had any illnesses never complained about any pains...He was the type of person who could do anything he tried and do it right the first time...Everything i know was mainly learned from him and whenever i didnt know/couldnt fix something he was always there to help me and do it for me...we have all agreed to start any type of work about a month after the funeral because we dont want to disrespect his family and just jump right into it and start work but i will most definitely post out progress pics...his mother and father want to keep the car as a memorial and for whenever they go visit his grave they will drive it...I could have never asked for a better friend, he was supposed to be one of my best men in my wedding one day and spiritually he still will be.

wow that is sad tho, hope they find the cause.
Im not found of the lime green wheels, but if he was originally planing that.
He worked in a body shop? hmmm.

MyNISMO314
01-03-2011, 11:26 PM
thank you Weedm for the kind words and as of right now no fund raiser has been set up...he was an electrician following in his fathers foot steps so he never had money issues...two weeks before he died he bought an 05 lexus is300 the family might be selling that i havent heard if they are keeping that yet but when and if they decide to sell i will post it on here...and yes he worked at a body shop...the wheels are going to be the color he wanted to be i know not everyone has the same taste but that is what he wanted.

I don't believe there's really any debate as to what will be done with this car. The OP already said that they a) have money and b) have his Lexus they may possibly sell, so I don't think that's too much a concern.

I think it's pretty awesome you guys are going to finish it for his parents. I think that's what I'd want, and I know my dad would enjoy that little bit of me that he could take a drive in every once in a while. Hope it never happens that way though, as no parent should ever have to bury their child. :(

I don't believe there's really any debate as to what will be done with this car.

Why wouldnt people comment.
The OP even put in his opinion about another RIP thread in his first paragraph.
(how odd to use a friends RIP thread to say your political piece about someone elses last wishes. I personally think you should edit that out.)
Not to mention the large amount of people making sideways comments about cars being crushed.

I am amazed at how disrespectful the people on the forum are to the deceased, their families, and their last wishes.

Can all the busy bodies please keep your opinions to yourself.

I am sorry for your loss.
Its always odd to looses someone and come across their post on the internet forums.
In a weird way they will live on and keep giving into the communities they were a part of.

Maybe keep your comments to your self as well. He simply said they aren't crushing it, whats the harm in that?

Sad to hear about this loss! Take advantage of every day your still breathing! He's in a better place, building his new car and watching his friends finish his old car!

wow to young just to young. Though we do not have control over these things. R.I.P.

As for anyone's comments about the wishes. His family and friends have already stated what they are doing. I think they would know best what he would have wanted and are doing the right thing.
I do not think another discussion, over what people think is the right thing, is the right thing to do respectfully.

Sorry to hear about your friend my condolences...but have you heard of (WPW) Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome... I was diagnosed with it back in April 2010 THE SCARE of my life. (Note that im healthy workout and have no problems!) Very rare heart condition that the person is born with not being able to be detected. The outcomes are shortness of breathe, colds sweats, pail in the face, irregular heartbeat, (this what I had when I was rushed to the ER) and final sudden death do to cardiac arrest. From what my doc said its happening more frequent with the younger people our age which is scary but, there is a cure for it...Just thought I'd throw that out there and make people aware. I was perfectly healthy until this happened to me...once again sorry for your loss...RIP dude

The viewing is at 1pm at 7452 manchester Rd... And then the funeral is at 3 at mackenzie right across affton school...so far the only thing I've heard of is he might have passed from a torn heart artery...we will be starting a fund raiser to go towards his car and the parts needed to finish the job he has started...we will be needing Tires, welding and tunning(Nistune) of his RB20...but if anybody can donate their time and skill that will be just as good...as soon as we start the build thread I will post all the information about the Fund Raiser, Car Show and Cruise...again thank you everyone
