Rediculously awesome build. But I really love the fact that they are obvious engineering geniuses who clearly know what they are doing, but they still put Rota Grids on the car... haha

some people are impressed by tuner sports cars that push the boundaries of the sport, others are impressed by spending $ on wheels, it takes all kinds my man. this shit didnt start from putting expensive wheels on cars, try to remember that.

Oh for sure. My comment was Zilvia satire... I think I'm in the minority that has absolutely no problem with Rota.

Now back to the build. There is not one thing that failed to impress me there... But I'm gonna say, the thing that dropped my jaw the most was the I-Phone sized multi-plate clutch...

It only took 1 smashed wheel to convince me that Rota's are a good idea for a street car.

Id MUCH rather put my money under the hood as well. Youre not in the minority, its just that the Work/Volk fanboys bitch about Rota louder than we praise them. :)

Seems like they're more concerned with breaking records than breaking hearts.

Saw this a couple weeks ago. Truly amazing work.

Here's a dyno video.

just out of curiosity, what is the purpose of this build? get a few great dyno runs out of it and then rebuild the motor?

^It's more of a "I've got a bigger dick" project, I think.

Fixed & I totally agree. But there are worse ways to blow your money, I guess.

Impressive craftmanship!! Honestly the last thing I thought about in that picture were the make of the rims...but I did wonder how wide the wheels were.

The car looks widebodied to me. Plus, it's Europe, so I'm gonna bet they're the 18x10+20 Grids. They're way easier to get in that size of there than they are here.

Anybody find a video of this car? I see a build thread but not a lot of dyno....

BMW was getting 1400bhp out of a 1.5L motor in 1986.. No exotic pistons, no titanium cranks, no waterbox intercoolers. Just big turbo and big boost with exotic fuel.

perhaps they are trying to make the whole setup somewhat reliable at that power.

As the old adage says: "Fast, reliable, cheap - choose two"

And that's a dickload of power and that shit doesn't look anywhere near cheap.

Seems like their just an engine building shop. Big budget. Fabrication on hand. Seems like a good recipie for big power. He'll, if I dropped my car at a specialized motor building shop, I'd want the most possible power out of the unlimited budget available, lol. The guy seems very knowledgable. I envy that kind of knowledge. Makes me want to get my ass in gear at school, haha.
