NorCal MR2 Pegasus Headlight Conversion (http://www.norcalmr2.com/pegasus/)

weve all seen them before. No bashing please.

Looking to just get a couple people to join a group buy. Had this going on another forum and people are all flaking. Either way im getting mine but i want to see if we can get some people here in Socal. They can all ship together aka free shipping. If talked to the guy plenty of times. I can tell you that with 6 people we were looking at 165 for the ones with the white halo. And again with free shipping.

I would love toget as many people as possible. But even if one person join we would both benifit.

Looking to pick some up in the near near future. So do we have any interest at all?

comments? concerns? questions? Ive talked to the guy plenty of times so i know must the info we need.

Thanks

No point in dual though. Single ftw (:

If only they were cheaper. I couldn't seem myself spending $200+ for a set of headlights like that. My cheap knockoff lights were a good 30 dollar investment.

Still sweet though.

Never thought I would see my friends site posted on here. We are pretty much family, and I've seen all of his work. He's done numerous custom light projects for local Mr2 guys.

http://www.norcalmr2.com/

anyways I have those H7 projector/angel eyes on my daily s13. the beam is much more solid with the projectors rather than those regular aftermarket H4 housings. it would probably look a lot better if i wasn't stock and monster trucking. If anyone is curious as to how they look let me know, I can post pics.

I can assure you guys all of his stuff is super legit and not some half ass'd ebay shit.

so whats the benefit, free shipping? the product is flawed. who the hell wants to spend money on a flawed product.

fact: a hella or cibie headlight will provide a good beam pattern, both high AND low. this appears to use a H7 bulb which is single filament, solely for one beam pattern (low beam).

fact: a hella or cibie headlight is made of glass and metal construction. this appears to be made of plastic, unless proven different.

fact: a hella or cibie headlight complies with either US (DOT) or EU (E-code) lighting standards and are both made by reputable lighting companies. they've been proven to work for DECADES now.

so this has a halo, great. good way to separate the 18 year old car enthusiasts from the ones who have common sense to run a good headlight. i cant understand how they can even consider asking equal to (cibie) headlight costs, when the hella's cost only a fraction of that.

Not to be a dick but, these look exactly like the projector ones you see on ebay, At like 3x the price.

i would be down if the projector is made outta glass and if i can get the conversion without a halo light and if the price is around 100 bucks 120 tops

future

get more people and the price can be that low.

And the projector is glass, The headlight itself though it plastic. But it really makes a difference why? We have pop ups, are lights are down in the sun so the sun will not turn them yellow.

And to everybody else, come on, no bashing. If you dont like them just dont post. Serious people only

The Sonic Motor housings are NOT made by Hella. They're china/eBay crap.

Uhhh, he already posted.

It seriously doesn't look that bad. My car had stock headlights(everyone knows how dim those are) before these, and I can honestly say I'm happy with them
I don't really use the halo lights too often, but I wired them up anyway.

although it has nothing to do with the headlights themselves I'm sure they would look a lot cooler on a slammed 240 rather with cool wheels, than a monster trucking one like mine. Amber bumper lights throw it off too. Guess I need to get some Dmax crystal bumper lights next. and it will look much much better. Thats the only reason why I would say they look funny; because my car is hella stock.

obviously these aren't for everyone, but hey I'm not complaining. If you don't like them thats cool don't buy them then, or just find your way out of this thread.

Really? Maybe for places where you drive on the left side of the highway...

That beam pattern is just uncool, man. Oncoming drivers will hate you. The deer on the right shoulder, however, will appreciate not being blinded. :ughd:

also besides the beam pattern being on the wrong side they have no protection for the projector its just open glass, and the pegasus ones would be back because they have plastic which could possibly melt and even tho are lights go down in the day can still turn yellow, there is always the option of retrofitting some nice projectors into some clear glass housings then make your own halos which can be done really cheap and easily

Wrong. the front of the housings are indeed glass not plastic. The guy who did these custom headlights understands the affects of high output temperatures on plastic. Not to mention he wouldn't go cheap on his products and even use cheap plastic shit.

Oh well then i take that part back then i based that off of the fact that the guy who made this thread said they were plastic
